I don't know. I always put my gifts up for 1 hour (mostly so that I don't forget they exist). Do you all think I should put them up for longer?

I also put mine up to just 1 hour .. only because I'm only free for a short amount of time and if I do put it up any longer ( more than 1 day ) I might have no time or even worse forget to gift it. There is the 1 week period but then again ... I don't like delaying my gifts.

It's your call. The longer you put it up for, the more people who can enter; it's also nicer to people in other timezones. A one-hour giveaway also mostly rewards people who spend a lot of time on Steamgifts rather than people who visit the site more rarely. But of course the flipside to this is that it means that every individual person has a lower chance of winning.

I like short giveaways, even though less people can enter, these who do have more chance of winning (than a longer giveaway)

1h GAs = best GAs. No doubt about that.

I love short ones with high CV requirement (haha, of course I do).

Change that to short ones with a moderate CV requirement, and I agree xD

Do what you want, they're your GA's :)

Personally I like making them 24 hrs at least so anyone has a chance to enter regardless of timezone, but shorter ones have the advantage of giving better odds to the people who enter.

Well, it depends what your goal for the gifting is. If you only want to make someone happy the length is not important. Shorter time is good for those seeing it because there is a lower number of entries so they have better chance.
For the one Giveaway I have done, I've chosen around three or four days. Mainly because I like the game very much and wanted to raise a bit of interest for it. And also to try to get some views and positive votes to my review and guide concerning said game -_____- It didn't work by the way ^^

If I got time for sending in two hours because I have to eat before or something like that, I let it end in two hours. If I got time in 3/4/5/6/... Hours I let them end in 3/4/5/6... Hours :D

Would even be better if there's an option to keep GAs to like 10 minutes, make a private 10 minute GA only for the Ninjas

I usually run giveaways for longer, just to let more people have a chance to enter, but then again, I usually get pretty busy, so sending gifts the minute a giveaway ends doesn't happen for me very much.

i usually put that my gifts end at 12:00 AM/PM and doesn't matter if one or eleven hours remaining
