Notice: ⚠️ Region lock on NBA 2K17!! ⚠️

NOTE: According to an official answer from HB, NBA2K17 is locked to the following regions, meaning those customers within them cannot gift outside the region:

Region Restricted countries - The game cannot be redeemed at all here

  • CU (Cuba)
  • IR (Iran)
  • KP (North Korea)
  • MM (Myanmar / Burma)
  • SD (Sudan)
  • SY (Syria)

Thank you Yirg for the info.

An additional info of how these region locks work can be found here and here. Thank you Cjcomplex for the info.

Most of the people that unlocked the monthly in the first hours after release, received two keys for NBA 2K17 instead of one.
One of these was ROW and the other one region locked. For example, most of the people in EU received a ROW key and a region-locked key for Europe. However, Humble Bundle soon realized their mistake and removed the ROW key from the keys page and later these keys have been revoked from Steam: http://i.imgur.com/svYUqBI.jpg and https://twitter.com/ayylmao4774/status/884491784537214976

NOTE: For those looking to obtain a key for NBA 2K17 via trades - please make sure that it can be activated in your region!

Notice: ⚠️ Region lock on Overcooked !! ⚠️

Overcooked has the next region locks (thanks for the info):

Did Humble Bundle convince you to subscribe to this Monthly bundle?

Deffo!! I waited an eternity for these early unlocks!
The Steam Summer Sale left my wallet dry, so I'll pass this one...
I need to ask my wallet to see how it feels about it :D
I believe it will contain seven copies of Skyrim! Preordered!

Quantity, quantity, quantity. Enough fluff to actually put this entire pack on the bundle list, so many, many people will rage when their CV tanks.

not sure, cause Wuppo was free before so it already gives 0$ CV, so CVwise it's 229$. Now I guess it's gotta depend whether Shobo calculates values based on 12$ purchase or 10.80$ purchase for newcomers (12$ is 94,75% off so no bundle list, 10.80 is 95,28% off so bundle list)

The 95% is just a vague guideline, we have seen games ending up with less than 94% before. If it won't go there when Shobo next time updates the list, then the only reason will be sheer peer pressure, like when the Talos Principle was removed from the list because enough people complained.

The total value is based on MSRP, not CV.

Now I guess it's gotta depend whether Shobo calculates values based on 12$ purchase or 10.80$ purchase for newcomers

Calculation is based on the normal selling price, not special discounts or coupons for a limited number of people.

The calculation would be $243.92 - 231.72 (95%) = $12.20, so $12 is cheaper than that, meaning everything will most likely be considered bundled, unless an exception is made for the fact that this is a blind bundle where you don't know the value or full contents ahead of time, so the "exploitation" potential is unintentional or limited, but we don't know if that's one of the criteria that shobo uses.

if something is already 0$ on SG I don't see why it should be counted for, b4 recent update if there was some free game in monthly (Tublestone or Superhot) it was not counted at all. Steam Price of all games - Wuppo is 229$, 12$ for 229$ is 94,76% discount

We don't know that, since we don't know for sure how shobo calculates bundled status. A game still has a retail value, whether it's been given away for free before or not. Anyway, we'll know for sure soon enough. I hope you're right and that previously free games don't count towards the value of a bundle.

you response to my argument with "we don't know that" yet the very post before you yourself gave argument which "we don't know" - so long story short, as we both don't know neither of us discussing here can state something with all certaintity :) We don't know if free game will be counted, we don't know if price will be calculated on discounted price (theorethically any user can make new account to buy new bundle), we don't know if 94.75% will copunt as bundle and so on and on.

Yeah, like IndieGala or Bundle Stars bundles with -94/95 % are added automatically to the bundle list, as they're shitty bundles. But when monthly is at -95% it's "oh noes".

There WILL be a point when monthly will go above 95% threshold. And games should be added to bundle list without discussion. Besides what's difference between 94,95 and 95,26%? IMO none, as both bundles can be used to farm tons of CV. But thankfully I'm not a bundler ; D

Permalink

the difference is there should be plain and obvious rules and they should be followed. Because later on there will be case what's the difference between 94.75 and 94%? and what between 94% and 93%? and so on and on.

Yeah, I know and I agree :P When rules are muddy, users get impression that "system" either punish them (when they don't know how to play safe) or favor them (when they know which rules can be "bend" so they are still followed, but it's shady).

Killer Bundle with 94,5% will be added to bundle list, but monthly with 94,8% won't? xD

What's about bundles where 2nd tier BTA was so high that it was added to 3rd tier. BTA skyrocked in those bundles right from the start, so how many people were able to pay 5$ for BTA, and how much had to bay 15$? If 3rd tier game was not added to the bundle list, BTA games also shouldn't be added IMO. But we don't know if it's calculated based on lowest possible price (so first minute BTA / 10,8$ for news subscribers) or somewhat differently.

I agree with some of your arguments, yet disagree with others, cause seems like you are contradicting yourself. At one hand you agree that rules should be stated and same for all, at other hand you bring up counter to this very statement saying "what about BTA which skyrocketed, not many ppl got opportunity to buy it". Rules should be the same - no matter if 200 or 20000 ppl got opportunity to buy sth for bundle price. In old times of steam pricing errors during sales even 3min glitch resulted in bundle list. Free games got removed (currently 0$ CV) no matter if GA was for 1000 or 100000 keys, so why would bundle be treated differently? It should be strict 95% (or whatever % is decided instead). If bundle discount is 94.99% - no bundle list, even if it's "just a small difference" - if you are level 9 and 10$ off hitting lvl 10, if you give away gamecosting 9.99$ you remain on level 9, it doesn't matter that it's "just a small difference". If rules are like you said "muddy" they will always rise questions and flamewars, like it's currently happening with bundles, if rules are simple and strictly followed, there are no problems (haven't seen a single topic where someone complains system is unfair cause they are 1 cent off level up ;p).

I know >_<

If game from 3rd tier is not on bundle list, and "connected BTA" is on bundle list, that means that it's not consistent. And was written to show this example ;P

Portal 2 was free on some site after beating programmer quiz - GAs blocked, Don't Starve price error - bundle list. Talos Principle - bundle list, but after shitstorm it was unbundled.

They always have to put 1-2 games in them that I'm particularly interested in, don't they? I'm fine with buying their regular bundles for 1-2 games, but with these it's a lot more risky since I don't even know them beforehand... Ugh, so not a fan of monthlies. :/

I feel raped by Humble Bundle. Three rebundles of Humble Bundle and these are the main games: NBA2K17, Pillars of Eternity and Offworld Trading Company...

Humble Bundle really spit on my face and that off collector and people used to HB Monthly. Asking to trust them on a forward monthly payment for a quality bundle to give you not just one but mainly rebundles as main games is really cheating people...

The lastest Indie Gala Virtual Bundle was better for me....

Why are Pillars of Eternity and NBA 2K17 listed as bundled before? There were never in any other bundle.

Probably because the script is pulling data from ITAD (https://isthereanydeal.com/specials/#/filter:search/pillarsofeternity,&bundle) and the table was built using the script after ITAD updated their site.

Only Overcooked and Nongünz doesn't have more expensive DLC content, that's not included, than the actual game. Would anyone care to wager if this trend is going to continue? :P (No, I'm not counting NBA, it doesn't exist for me and I gave it away :D)

Edit: I did some more research and it turns out I was wrong about One Piece. The Gold DLC includes the other two so the price for DLC is only half of the base game price which seems more reasonable. Historical low is quite a bit higher for the DLC though.

I figured that was the point, some reason why some games get into bundles to try and make better returns on the DLC for giving the base game so cheap

This is probably the case, yeah, and it makes me feel a wee bit silly for paying for the first sample, so to speak. It's usually free to get you hooked :P

I don't want to complain too much though, overcooked alone will most likely be worth the bundle price since my significant other are into these kinds of games :)

This is the first Humble Monthly in ages that hasn't pulled heavily from my wishlist - I was a Kickstarter backer on Pillars of Eternity, already own Off-World Trading Company, and don't like sports games, so that carves a gash off my possible wow-factor. Not a problem, I've had so much want-this stuff from them already that I really can't argue!

Horrible montlhy for me. Well, I do enjoy NBA and Pillars (surprisingly, because Im not into those kind of games).
Previous months I got at least one other game I liked and others where something Id want to try out,
This time One Piece is completely out of my interest range (will probably give it away here).
Also I seem to go different rout then others. Nongunz - hate it. Wuppo - unimpressed. Lets hope whats left will be awesome.

Dont get me wrong - All of the games are probably great. But not just for my taste.

Every Steam game in this bundle has DLC, a gold/ultimate/hero/legend version, or a soundtrack that isn't included.

Sometimes the monthly bundles feel like we're paying more money than a normal bundle to get games that we don't get to pick and have to pay extra to fully enjoy. :/
