Why did steam just randomly decided to ask me to confirm my email again?

The green-tab shows up for no reason asking me to confirm my email address again which I have done ages ago. Is this unusual?

Maybe it a error, just to be safe look on setting and see if something was changed.

Happened to me after 1 year of being on steam, guess it's a safeguarding measure, don't worry about it ;)

Don't know, but it happenedto me a couple of weeks ago as well. I did wonder if someone was maybe trying to gain access to my accounht when they shouldn't have been.
