Should this be the last Carmen SanFrancisco puzzle?
None needed as yet
You are told that " Carmen SanFrancisco has led us on a merry chase from beginning to end". This was an acrostic. Each of Carmen's notes was a path. The first letters of each line of each note was a starting location, and the last letter of each line of each note was an ending location. Every note apart from the last could also be solved by reading the surface meanings of the notes.
So consider one of the notes from the middle of the path:
Nearly close enough again. However a national museum
once again lies robbed, while you stagger along behind me.
Uselessly you follow on afterwards while, yet again, I vex
all police forces and security guards. For my next escapade, I
know you will be impressed when I steal a stone of ethnographic
consequence from a national museum, or should I say a museo?
Heavy though it might be, to steal the sun represents an epic
out-of-the-ordinary robbery even for me. You will find that I
theive this on a day that will be one to mark on your calendar, not
that you can any more (grin). Can you see what I am trying to say?
This was the path from NOUAKCHOTT (Mauritania) to MEXICOCITY (Mexico).
The problem was to solve the last note:
We really must stop this game. You keep repeatedly failing
and I keep... [some words here that are illegible] ...never stop me
so why not give up now and save us both some headache? No,
how I know that you love the hunt... [illegible text] ...for

nor will you ever succeed in seeing me again!
This is the path from WASHINGTON (District of Columbia, USA) to GEORGETOWN (Guyana) which was the correct answer. I accepted Guyana, Co-operative Republic of Guyana, and The Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

Greetings all,
My Ancient Greece super-hunt made no progress this week. Though progress on DASH 10 continues apace, and I am playing in someone else's puzzle hunt runaround next weekend.
Therefore, the hunt for the mythical art thief Carmen SanFranciso carries on swiftly. Can you figure out where she is headed this time?
The giveaway runs until 00:59 pm GMT on 4 September. The eight prizes this week are in alphabetical order:
Alter Ego, Beholder, The Emptiness Deluxe Edition, Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island, House of Caravan, Lost Chronicles of Zerzura, The Odyssey: Winds of Athena, and Total Golf 3 (which is no longer available in the Steam Store).
This week's puzzle takes place over seven steps, chasing Carmen SanFranciso each step of the way.
This is either the last episode in the hunt for Carmen Sanfranciso, or possibly the penultimate episode. I have left it in a place, where I could end it here, but for reasons that will become clear at the end, some people may find this ending unsatisfactory. So if you have solved the puzzle, then please vote in the poll.
There is no puzzle content on this page. But the hunt continues here.
Note that this is the Sequel to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco I, to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco II, to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco III, to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco IV, and to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco V. You can go look at those for a view on how these puzzles work, or alternatively read my magic guide.
31 people solved part 1, 30 solved part 2, 27 people solved part 3, 22 people solved part 4, and 35 people solved part 5. Good luck.
