I already sent in a support ticket over 7 hours ago. My experience with support is usually that things never ever get read. So, I guess I'm hoping someone sees this instead. I was hoping I could do a giveaway today, but it's still not added yet. :(

How long does it usually take to add a newly released game?

-Tempete doesn't have much free time right now.

Might take a while. All we can do is wait. There a few add game tickets, some for the same game perhaps.

I am kind of surprised that there's no auto-add of new release games. I think that would be a good implementation.

"Add Game to List" tickets can only be answered by Moderators, the Super Mod, or the Admin.
With some of them being on vacation, it's only natural that they won't be able to answer all the tickets in a short time.

I just think that new releases should be automatically added to the list. It would make sense, and I can't see it being that hard to code.

EDIT: And it would also save mods a lot of time with tickets I'm sure.

Support for purchases require an actual person. Adding a new game to a list should be automated (or at least done quickly).

24-48 hours can be considered quickly, since it's automated.
sg doesn't need to check the steam store every hour to add new releases.

I think that only reroll tickets get read fast. All the other things take a while or never get read. :/

Yea, 2 out of my 3 previous tickets never got read, that's why I wasn't sure.

Support might not always respond to tickets they read either, that or the ones that do read may not be assigned the task to resolve the issue. There are always logistical reasons why things aren't done. For example, new releases could actually be added automatically, but it may require a moderator to resync with Steam to obtain the new packages. It wouldn't make sense for a system to automatically check every hour or 6 or even 12. Give them time, it's not like support gets paid to resolve all the tickets they have and they have far more work than you can imagine.

I suppose you're right, I don't need a response for tickets like this. I'm not sure how steamdb does it, but they are always up to date with games as far as I can tell. I understand support doesn't get paid, but unless a game is blacklisted, it would also be an option that people could manually add the game to do the giveaway of it (like other giveaway sites do). It could save the mods some work if implemented correctly.

The game list updates once a day. New releases are automatically added during this update. If it's for sale in the store, it'll be on the list within 24 hours.
