There are people who actually say it and there are bots as well.

I try to say it if I don't read the giveaway creator asking for something else or asking NOT to say thanks.

I also try changing it up a bit when I say it each time :P

I guess the best way to check bots would be to do a giveaway for DeadBits. Bots should be the only still entering for it.

If there's nothing in the description telling me to say / not say thanks and nothing about specific answers/gifs or such, then I don't say thanks upon entering the GA. But I always thank the creator if I win a GA.

In my own GAs I sometimes ask a question about something, but mostly I leave it up to the people entering.

Oooohhh, I'm sorry that they say thank you. Next time, tell them to say that they hate you and that they don't thank you. xD Why not say thank you? What's the problem with that? xD
