Here's my noms
I've not even played my GOTY, nor played my Better With Friends with friends. And my outstanding story may not be entirely serious.
I know it's cheating, but I really would have liked to select the following:
GOTY - Get In the Car, Loser!
VR GOTY - Tetris Effect
Labor of Love - Stardew Valley (even though I haven't played it in years)
Better with Friends - Tetris Effect
Outstanding Visual Style - Get In the Car, Loser!
Game I suck at - Tetris Effect
Best Sountrack - Mass Effect LE
Outstanding Story - Mass Effect LE
Sit back and relax - Tetris Effect

Alright here is mine: https://store.steampowered.com/steamawards/nominations/76561198047744978?k=8269077565646005858
Not sure if Cyberpunk should be GOTY, but at least it gave us good memes material 😅

I only played 4 games released in 2021, which seriously limits my serious picks. So ended up with this, namely:
SERIOUS PICKS (games from 2021 I played and might fit the nominations):
SEMI-SERIOUS PICKS (wouldn't NOMINATE it for something, but I played it, and I had fun with it)
FILLER PICKS (did not even play them; might change them if you folks convince me otherwise... well, and if I care):

I've only actually played a few of the games, so as typical I had to pick random games I at least have some basic knowledge about.

Still and still-- State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition. First released around 2018 with "Unlimited Edition" but now the Definitive/Juggernaut edition around 2020, all new player get update for free and no longer selling DLCs, all DLCs are included already.
Still updating and still adding contents till today! WOW! It is a labor of love and of course my favorite game ever. I don't like Horror game at all! But, this game changed my mind with this story-driven and base-building mechanic. So thrilling & so amazing!
Ah yeah, here's the link :)

EDIT: im afraid it cant be nominated as GOTY game this year cause its legit-ly released in 2020 for its Juggernaut edition (so, just sharing :) ).
And now here's my picks :| :

I nominated It takes two for game of the year. Really fun to play with a significant other. And for labour of love I nominated Human: Fall flat. Seriously they keep on releasing new levels, and while I wish they would let me just keep my 100% for it, I do appreciate that these are free updates. The rest of my picks were just kinda random ones I played that released this year. Apart from the VR category, which I haven't played any in.

Besides aoe4 I would love to highlight The Last Spell, amazing game, too bad I can't nominate it in multiple categories

Thanks, I figured out a few valid games for categories that matter to me (voted labour of love for real, and guessed GOTY and best story based on my interests) - people will "do the voting" for the others.
Without playing more than a handful okay games from this year, I'm fine with anything for ie. best OST :)

This was my STEAM AWARDS choice. It was hard to decide what I really liked, but even if I didn't play Mass Effect Legendary Edition, I look forward to do so.

I haven't seen/played much of recent games, so I cant pick the soundtrack thing. For me its obviously Cyberpunk, but I already picked it as GOTY, because there is no way it doesn't deserve the title.
And about the VR game, I cant nominate Yoga Instructor for some reason I like the concept Kappa

It's nearly like making a '2021 wishlist' because I haven't played a single game released on this period ^^

not like it matters, not quality, quantity decides, but i still did some valid voting. Yes, i played more than half of these games, usually voted from my played games. VR is the black horse, i autoignore VR games as i dont have the gadget.
But i know already my GOTY for next year, no matter if it will fail, ill still vote for Elex 2:-D

Hard choice between Black Book - Village - Sir Brante for personal GOTY, but still the originality and indescribable spirit of the Black Book outweighs everything. Although I am sure that Psychonauts 2 would definitely have won, But I haven’t played it yet.
Also, when choosing the nominees, I noticed that for me this year there is very serious competition in the best narrative nomination, but very weak in co-op and music nominations...

I don't have much ideas for this year.
