Long time ago the same functionality was added for Steam Users. You could find the SG profile of a Steam User using his Steam ID like this:

http://www.steamgifts.com/go/user/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

where XXXXXXXXXXXX the STEAM64 ID of that user. For example my URL http://www.steamgifts.com/go/user/76561197992948282

I'd like to see this same functionality for Steam Groups as well. Maybe then the Steam Enchancer add-on would add it as well. Steam groups have a unique Steam ID too, which I guess is stored in SG database. So something like

http://www.steamgifts.com/go/group/XXXXXXX

would do the trick.

Now the only way to find a group's page is through your own groups which is kinda clumsy.

Not much attention for this one... Seems people don't like stats like I do!

Only members can access the group profile page, since only members can view group GA's.
You can't find the page just with the Steam ID, because you are missing the group code (/xxxxx/simgive) .
The reason: Group privacy? - I don't know.
Maybe they did this for the same reason all the private groups hide their GA thread from public ;)

That's what I'm asking. I would like cg to implement the funtionality to check an SG group page by it's Steam ID.

You don't have to be a member of a group to see it's stats page, at least for the time being. I have been able to check stats for groups I'm not in, that I found the link through multigroup giveaways.

Yeah I know about the multigroup GA's, but still you have to be part of something (whitelist and/or groups) to access that. A random user can't.

I think that, what you're asking in this thread will be possible anyway if they carry out your other request (the "show groups").
If you can see the group where the game is given away, then you can see the group profile.

Let's wait for an "official" answer to see if this is something feasible :)
