Not really a pain. They go in the same slot as the charger. Been doing it like that since I got mine at the end of March.

I could....in fact still the offer on the S21 for the free Samsung Pro ones.......but i just can't be bothered with something else to charge ;)
Actually have a pair of wireless buds, just a cheaper pair. They work well, it's just the charging thing for me. Would rather have wired.

Been looking at S20 FE as well
Really not keen on paying those huge prices for flagships.. S20 FE really delivers for the price..
Still sitting on S8 myself though :D
Didn't know about lack of jackphone though....

Oooh, nice I wasn't aware of that. Hopefully it catches up a bit on perf/price ratio. Would be great to have that with /e/

As an audiophile not having a headphones jack is a deal breaker for me. Now that LG is out of the market, the remaining candidate are Sony and Asus for me.
Maybe look at the Zenphone 8 (strong value) or Xperia 1 mark 3 (expensive).
There's a new promising codec (aptX lossless) coming for those who can live without jack but don't want any compromises on sound quality.

next time i go to buy a phone im gonna make sure it has a replaceable battery. we have the right to repair our electronics and i will never again buy a phone without a replaceable battery.
so my recommendation is to make sure your next phone can be repaired. some country's protect there citizens by forcing phone company's to make products repairable but not all.
my current phone sold in other country's has a replaceable battery but the same model sold in america can not be opened. i dont know what the down low is on your current phone or the one's your looking at, but the ability to put a new battery in should be the first concern of any intelligent consumer.
if anyone reading this lives in america check out the right to repair.

I replaced my old S9+ with the OnePlus Nord 2, loving it so far. Charges from 0% to 100% within 30 minutes. Very clean Android interface, none of that Samsung bloatware crap. Great budget price.
It's battery life isn't as good as some of its competitors. But it easily lasts a full day, so that's enough for me especially with the insane speed charge. I dislike its speakers though, so if that's important to you I'd probably look elsewhere.

pixel 6 is coming soon so it might be worth waiting for that

I've been using a OnePlus 7 Pro for over two years now it literally still handles like a brand new device, only the battery life is not what it used to be, but it charges pretty fast, so it is usually not a problem, so I would recommend the OnePlus phones, they're really good. The only thing that has disappointed me in the newer OnePlus phones is that they removed the pop up front facing camera... The battery life of the 9 Pro is nothing special, but you know, those phones charge insanely fast. Also since you're a Samsung fan, you'll probably appreciate the phone, since they use Samsung displays, and the best one Samsung can offer at that. The android install is pretty clean. From what I've seen the 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra are pretty much neck and neck. The Samsung is a bit more durable since it has the new Gorilla Glass Victus, while the 9 Pro has the regular Gorilla Glass 5. When it is down to the cameras - the back cameras are neck and neck, in most aspects. The only thing the Samsung is clearly better is the Zoom, while the One Plus is clearly better with its capability of recording 8K videos in 30FPS, with both it's normal and wide camera. The S21 Ultra can only go to 24FPS with a crop on the main camera, which pretty much makes the feature useless. The OnePlus can record at 120FPS at 4K for some cool slow mo 4K footage, while the S21 can only go up to 60FPS at 4K. Now, when we head to the front facing cameras, well the S21 just outright wins. The OnePlus is just having a very mediocre front facing camera that can not even record in 4K. The S21 has slightly larger battery so it holds out longer. However, the 9 Pro literally recharges a few times faster with it's 65W charging and 50W Wireless charging and the charger comes in the box with the phone. The S21 Ultra does not, you have to buy it separately. The OnePlus has better cooling solution compared to the S21 Ultra, so it tends to run a bit faster, not that you would ever notice that with both running a Snapdragon 888( Don't buy the exynoss version of S21, never do that), you'd mostly notice the heat that is more intense on the S21. So it's pretty much a personal preference for which one of those you'd chose if you had to go with them. But in all honesty at this time of year, I'd probably recommend you to hold out until companies start releasing new flagship phones, like the Pixel 6, who knows, Google might have it right this time.

Thank you for that awesome comparison. I'm in the UK and believe that you can only get the exynoss version here......i hear it overheats a lot?
Your right in that their are some good phones coming out. I have another month before i need to decide as my phone is going to my son to use.
Will look these up. TBH the screen may be too large for me. I think the S10 is about the perfect size. Guessing Oneplus have some with smaller screens but likely not flagship so maybe not same quality.

Yeah, it is a bit more difficult to get your hands on Snapdragon variants of the Samsung phones outside of the US and China, but there should be some stores that offer them. Probably not in like bundles with free earbuds, but still, it is the snapdragon variant, which is overall better. As for size, all OnePlus phones are bigger than the S10. They all start like at 6.4" while the S10 is 6.1", so yeah, no matter what you'll have to deal with a larger phone if you go with OnePlus. To be fair, all phones have slowly made their flagship phones bigger and the smaller phones are not just smaller in size, but also cut down on features and power. I mean, you could go for an iPhone, the smaller non pro and mini variant are not that much dissimilar to the pro max variant of the phone. Mainly the camera and battery are the biggest difference between those as far as I remember.

I'm not an Apple fan. Sure the quality is top notch but just prefer Android (Have had Apple previously and my current work mobile is iPhone 8)
Didn't realise all OnePlus phones are that large. Not a deal breaker but don't think i need something with that bigger screen. Again, the S10 seems perfect....if only you could buy brand new S10's :(

Well... Actually in Bulgaria, you can still buy brand new S10s from retailers. Also, yeah, if you're not a fan of iPhone, I'd understand that. I don't like the fact there is such a lack of customization on iOS. Though, I haven't had an iPhone for a while now. I'm actually thinking of trying out iPhone again when the next generation comes out.

I just got the S21 recently to replace an S7. (Yeah, it had been a while). The S21 seems very good to me, especially as someone who is already familiar with Samsung phones.
I wasn't thrilled about the lack of a headphone jack because I use my phone for music when I travel, but I got an adapter and I love it.
I suspect all of the top-end major-brand Android phones are pretty similar overall, but I think if you're already comfortable with Samsung and don't particularly want to change brands, you'd be happy with the S21.

Hi
Am replacing my Samsung S10 and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?
I love the Samsung S range but the no headphone jack is a problem for me. Also, no SD card but can get over that.
Anyone have the S21 and would you recommend?
What other mobile would you recommend?
Follow up question - if you were to purchase a phone outright (buy the handset and not a contract) where would you buy from? Any recommendations. UK Stores / websites.
Cheers :)
