So HB sent a survey to selected users. Take a peek
Basically this could mean that subscription would be divided into few options with different prices, Humble Trove and 10% discount only for premium, and ability to change hidden games into HB store funds. I'm actually worried about the changes, quality might go down, and prices go higher.
Also, I'm sorry if there was a thread about it already, let me know about it and I'll just delete this one, cause I didn't see or know.

It's alright

I don't think making mystery games a selection from an amount of titles is a bad idea, but paying $8 extra for that, really?
The other ones sound even worse. And if you're a yearly sub what the hell is the point of picking games of previous months AT ALL?

It doesn't look good, in my opinion.

They seem to be aiming at including less games for more money and to transfer the already available benefits of the humble trove and the store discount to a premium subscription. The only actual added value they propose is the ability to choose games and/or trade them for store credit (which will probably have an expiration date).

In any case, Humble has long ago gone the corporate route and this is another step in that direction. I'll continue my current policy of only subscribing when the early unlock alone justifies the price, since I do not blind buy anything.

$20/month is way too much, unless there was a massive jump in quality, which there won't be; it'll be the same. I think it'd be enough to break me away from HB Monthly finally. I can get better use from $20 in a month buying my own games that I choose for myself.

It's such an old story and happens to everything: Something great emerges, becomes successful, everyone loves it, sharks notice and buy it up, then it all turns to just another piece of exploitative crap like everything else.

I already pause my subscription like every month anyway. There were too many games that I'll never touch. If the early unlocks were worth the $12 then I'll let the sub go through. If not, I pause and hope I win the games I like through the GAs.

I usually don't bother with the trove and the monthly unlocks weren't that great. So I'll welcome some changes to the model. And if I don't like the changes, I'll just unsub, no big deal.

most of those choices end up with "i wouldn't subscribe" except the last one which appears to have the same as my current 12-month plan for $11/month. all other options are either dropping something i like or raising the price, and it's barely worth it to me as it is.

also, i didn't get this email and i have 6 months left on my subscription.

Man, as if the Humble Monthly needs to be complicated ever more. Also, so many angry Humble subscribers are venting rage here....not good signs.

I only sub on months where the early unlock is worth 12$ to me. I would just grab the 10$ monthly when its still the case and never touch the 20$ package.

I can rarely afford the $12 at once for a game bundle...I would pretty certainly never subscribe if the price went up to $20. besides which, I dislike the "pay more to become an exclusive member" bit, because I've seen a number of times where it seemed the site eventually "forgot"/stopped caring about the lower-paying ppl.

I cannot see myself paying an extra $8 for random games, or store credit which cannot be spent on bundles (unless said store credit accumulates over time and can be spent on items on sale--in which case I'd rather the money in my bank, not Humble's). I'd much rather use that $8 to buy a game I know I want, rather than a game to add to the "never play" category.
I only ever am really interested in the A-to-AAA titles; I really don't think that I could care less about the "free games that we'd sell in the store for $0.50 to a whole dollar!"

I couldn't care less about Humble Trove or the discount, but if they change anything else...

Well, let's see if they will still get my 12 bucks in the future.

Just got my $5 store coupon for filling out the survey.
Felt it worth mentioning for others who may have filled it out .
