Scammer or not?

Did get steam invite from lvl37 steam account. Decided to accept to see what he had to say even though i general don't accept any invitations if you don't give me reason by posting in profile. Right after accepting tells come:
15.58 - Namehasbeenchanged: Hey! We held a competition in the group Information-group! Prizes - http://urlhasbeenchanged
15.58 - Namehasbeenchanged: You have been selected one of 10 random winners!
15.58 - Namehasbeenchanged: Choose any 5 item from the list on the screen!!!
16.03 - Namehasbeenchangedi s now Offline.
He probably unfriended at that point.
I thinking scammer but what do you think?

shrug I wouldn't have answered him, either.
Dunno if he's a scammer or not, but he seems like one, and it's always better to be safe than sorry. :)

Either it's a hijacked account or a noob who clicked on a bad link which made his steam send the same message to everyone in his friendslist.

I had the same thing happen to me, it's obviously a scam. I just blocked and reported.

One of the most commonly known scam types. The "right after accepting, they write to me" part is the clear indication that it is a bot.

Had it once or twice in which i did actually won something, but it's because you entered a comment to enter thing (usually i forget about) never a click this or gift, but a key.
If you never enter those then yeah most likely a scam, but you must know if you been in that group or not.

Though last 2 days i am getting alot of fake profile invites again.
