Either one... Usually if there is DRM mentioned on site and it is Steam then there is Steam key. Or they state a Steam key in other way...

sometimes. You have to read the store page.

Third party DRM: Steam This game requires a free Steam account to play.

So it's a steam key right ? I didn't know what does it exactly means (poor english).

It says at the top of the description if it's a steam game. Also if the game is on steam you'll get a steam key. If it isn't then you'll get the game on their form of DRM.

Just read the description and requirements and you'll see if it's a steam game or not.

I think if someone has too much money they should just buy directly from Steam...

I had all those problems, they always solved them as soon as the third parties involved fixed the problem.
They answer the questions and are kind.

GMG wasn't so kind but also solved most of the problems. And tried to fix the not solved ones.

I will recommend both sites 10 times before steam. And their support is much more fast than steam which ALLWAYS answers with generic copy-pasted messages without reading the ticket. That when they answer, which atm for me is 50% of my tickets.

In GG I never got an ignored ticket, just give them some days. Steam on the other hand has taken 2 weeks the faster time they answered me.

In GG they use to detail that in red and bold on the description of the game when they're out of keys. And when you press reveal key you see a mini apologize and message saying they're trying to solve it asap.

For second paragraph refer to my message down here...

So for you amaazon is better not allowing to get a deal because they have no more keys, gg use to put it on the description, so you are warned (not always)

Gamersgate isn't terrible. I never had a problem with that site.

The only thing you have to do (and this is not only for GamersGate, but for amazon and GMG too), is to make sure the key is steam redeemable

Walking dead 2 at least is not a steam key on green man gaming I think, the makers were working on some drm thing for their games, I've heard if you email the key to them though, they'll give you a steam key for it, I'm not sure if that still applies though.

Season 1 of The Walking Dead on greenmangaming says right on top of the description: This game requires a free Steam account to play.

It seems that Telltale is putting in their own DRM so idk if you're going to get a steam key.

I bought the Walking Dead Season 1 & 400 bundle on GamersGate. No regrets and quickly activated on Steam with a key.

GamersGate has their own library and incentives to be active in their community, but it is nothing you have to do when you purchase from them. As everyone else has said, you have to read the DRM requirements on the store page for each game.

That might be a Paypal security check. You should not be prompted for cc information from the seller if your using Paypal. I purchased in the U.S., fwiw. I was leery of buying from them too, but it all went well and was quick for me.

The easier and faster thing you can do is once on the game description use [Ctrl]+[F] and search steam on the site, if you can't find steam or steamworks then the game won't activate on steam (95% of the cases).

Protip: Every single game from this has to be activated on Steam, no matter where did you buy it (including retail copies), unless stated otherwise and except GOG - they have only DRM-free versions. If some game isn't on the list that means DRM may be vary in different stores.

GamersGate and Green Man Gaming follow this rule: If they say you get a Steam key then you get a Steam key. If they don't then you don't.
