Story-wise AC:B directly follows AC2, so while you will probably get most of it (except of the back-stroy / lore it's not very complicated) you will still miss some things. Gameplaywise thou I believe AC:B to be the best entry to the franchise ever. The main city is much more developed and intresting, side missions are superrior, gameplay mechanics are improved over AC2 etc.
So if you are able to buy one game and then buy another later on, you can buy AC2 and buy ACB when you finish it. But if you're limited just to purchase one - I'd pick AC:B - it's too much fun to skip it just because you wouldn't get some conspiracy-theory lore every now and then.

Yes, you most certainly will be confused. AC Brotherhood is as direct a sequel to AC 2 as possible. It literally picks up right where AC 2 left off. Definitely grab AC 2.

We had a Ubisoft sale like 3 weeks ago, I would recommend searching in the trades section of this site, there's no point in paying full price. Be aware of scammers though.

You could probably find someone to who accepts paypal or you could buy tf2/ cs:go keys (if you buy them from tf2/ cs:go store/ community market they come with a 7 day trade lock. But yeah, make sure you are not dealing with impersonators and be careful who you trust.

I need some help deciding in which assassins creed game I should get from the steam store. I sadly have a mac computer so I can only pick between Assassins Creed 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood...but can't deside which one to pick. If I get AC:B will I be left wondering/confused about the lore? Is the story line/gameplay better for the other? I need help!
