see what others are doing and adjust accordingly. there aren't exactly going rates in cards, everyone just kinda makes up whatever # they want at the time for the most part. i guess what im saying is, see what others want, and adjust it according to how fast or slow you wanna sell them.. less cards = faster sales, more cards = slower sales... =)

Thanks mate, i did have a look about to see what others were asking, and i found someone with a lot of the games im trying to get rid of, but read a few comments from the thread and think he/she was doing it all wrong so didn't want to go by them as a guide line. Guy was asking like 70 cards for X-blades as an example. That must be way off surely, considering it can be snagged for free. Just needed a little more input. Thanks man.

oh sry, yeah ppl try and get the best they can.. cards are hard to work with i barely accepted them back when i was trading. personally i preferred Refined Metal as currency, easier to work with and a little more steady in value (thought they do adjust in price too, its rather slowly and not like cards jittery jumps all over the place)

I normally use CSGO keys as my currency, i'm not looking to get rich by any means, i'll never play the games i have and just want to trade them towards making badges if i can, just don't want to look like a fool in the process by asking obscene amounts of cards. Thanks again man, appreciated.

Ideally you would search to find what people are asking and offering, and if the two are far apart, what price they trade.
For example let's say you find 4 people selling Risen for 40, 43, 50, 70 cards. And 3 people wanting to buy it at 2, 10, 20 cards.
Maybe you set your price somewhere between 20 and 50 cards. Or you search more to see what recent offers were actually accepted where a trade happened.
To be honest the above is too much work for me and I've only done it a few times (and for case key trades not cards) but it seems to be the most accurate way to make reasonable trading prices.

Trust me, whatever it's worth, they'll only give you half.

Cards are crazy, because most traders deal in "X amount of cards", often stating "I only accept cards over Y value". I usually state my price in actual cents (usually 4% of the game's undiscounted USD store page price) and get the cards according their market value.
But there is no consistency. Sometimes people offer you an exact deal, sometimes they expect you to set the price. For games that are available in bundles often, don't expect more than 3-4% of their store price, but that doesn't mean games on the bundle list are always cheap. (For example, I have declined offers for my The Hive key, because even if it was in a bundle, the key is easily worth 5€.)

You asked about Risen 3 so I tell you how many cards I believe it's worth.
It's currently being sold in a bundle for 1,49. A tier with 4 games. So you are paying less than 50 cents for it. [37 cents to be exact]
In my opinion [and that is what I would ask and how many cards I would be willing to give], it's worth around 10-12 cheap cards.

If you ask for 2,24 dollars in cards, people will just buy the tier with 4 games for 1,49 dollars.
There's is no formula, just try to be fair.

Personally I usually trade all of my low-tier bundle leftovers for 5 cards each. Depending on the cards I get, sometimes I make a bit of profit and other times I lose out a bit.
For pricier stuff, I will set a price and go with steam.tools to find cards that will match that value (after fees)

Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone is able to help me out about by giving me a rough idea or example as to how i should go about pricing my bundled game keys if i'm gonna trade them for trading cards.
So, for instance, Risen 3 = X amount of cards. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
