Recently i've been getting awful download speeds through virgin media, Normally i'm meant to get around 25Mbit Download and 3Mbit Upload.

And now i'm getting a crappy 1-2Mbit download, just wondering if anyone else in the UK is having the same issue.

I'm still getting decent speeds around 30mbit but my upload doesn't seem to go higher than 2mbit today

I manage to load this instantly for the first minute but after that I couldn't get to the end

Dunno if it's related, but next month, i'm getting upgraded to 60Mbit download and around 10 Up, and they were doing some testing two weeks ago.
And they ended up wiping the router configuration, so i had reset all my static IP's and Ports :/

Virgin Media

There's your problem. Fuckers didn't hold a candle to NTL.

To be honest, i love how fast the speeds are and the ping.
But their uptime if absolutely abysmal, I don't think there's been one week where they haven't restarted the router remotely, causing disruption all the time.

They decided to push 60Mbit down to our router recently, Breaking all of our configuration on the router, so they decided just to reset the whole thing, No phone-call, No warning, Worst company in my opinion.

And recently i've been getting horrible packet loss.
I'm thinking of writing a formal complaint to them soon.

I can't stand Virgin. There was that shit they pulled with Sky for a start, but before that, they royally pissed us off. About two months after taking over NTL, they tried charging us £200 as an internet bill, saying we'd been on our modem for over sixty hours (lol, pay as you go internet. Those were the days). Utter bullshit. Fortunately, they didn't push it. They just cut us off and made it a "we'll ignore you, you ignore us" thing. So we've happily ignored them for their shitty handling of that situation (which amounted to "you did it, give us moneyz"). It wasn't an isolated case either. I heard of a few other massive overcharges with no support.
