Use the appropriate avenues for support. If you have an issue with another user, submit a ticket with a user report, rather than calling them out within the community or on the forum.

you are not the first and certainly not the last user coming here over ST scammers.
ST is completely unmoderated, its the scammer central. Best to avoid using that site
CG must have seen multiple threads like this, and has done nothing about it.(other than having mods close them down)

The idea of having people learn over their mistakes rather than blocking scammers from using the site, does not exactly solve the issue.
yeah, you will start to pay close attention, but he will continue trading regardless, he is good at finding other victims despite its decreasing rep just like many others that use the site

despite the name, st is not really a trading site imho, it's more a contact forum with a basic rep system and only public messaging. I mean, it's not more trading than your random blog, since does not have specific trade tools. as a contact centre, there are good guys and scum, and you have to distinguish them by yourself. taken that in account, it's not that bad.

This dirtbag scammed me too when i traded with him. I didn't knew that he was on sg until i stumbled on him when he created some stupid topic in discussion. But of course telling that he is scammer is against the rules so i just blacklisted him. I reported him on steamrep and in Steam but they did nothing about him. Oh well...

It's a shame about the whole "calling out" rule but it's almost akin to doxing somebody I guess.
If somebody is deemed to be a threat to others, and is KNOWN to behave in such negative activity, people should be able to know. The user also has their own "rights" also. Damn my both sides of the coin.

I still have to fully understand what scam precisely is and I'm so dumb I never used steamtrades a single time =\ anyways I really hope the best for you!!

With only 2 trades i can't say i am well placed to say something, but i think the rep system works and there are plenty of good folks there, it's a pity you found that rep system a bit too late. A bot who automatically ban people with a rep of -10 would be nice but i don't know if that's feasible.

Yesterday a user made a trade proposal to me, it was my first on steamtrades. It was a few games for a gift card of 10 USD.
Guy asked for the key of the gift card by chat on the Steam Client. So I gave him today and got blocked.
If this guy add you, do the honest gamers a favor and report:
omited
Later I found his rep on steamtrades:
omited
I feel so dumb that I can't believe it.
