Well they been in bundles a few times recently.
I thought the game was much newer though (like 2018-2019), and it wouldn't be a first that a new game gets bundled or even put for free very quickly, it's not very much different then what Humble is doing with them giving free games.
Not saying it's bad (i mean i didn't pay full price for this), but given for free, being put in bundles personally for me that makes it, to hardly ever buy anything anymore at full price.

I bought Redout for full price, and I don't see the problem in it been giving away for free. That just means more people get to enjoy a good game. You have to consider that the value of a game is never fixed. It always depends on when you look at it. On release a game is always worth more than 3 years later. I paid not only to be able to play the game, but to play the game at that time. And that wasn't wasted money, just because it's free now at a later point. So, I'll definitely buy the next game I want when I want it, independend of the "danger" that it might cost less or be free at some point later.
I mean, with that kind of thinking you can basically never justify buying any game at all. Full price? No, it might be at 50% in half a year. 50%? No, it might be 75% next winter sale. 75%? Definitely not, it might be free next year. ;)

I keep trying to explain this to friends of mine. "Let's all buy the Vampyr game!" And I'm like, it's fifty bucks! Let's just wait! It's an uphill battle.
There are a couple of things I want to play new, and I am actually totally fine paying full price for them. Well, 90% price, if I can't find at least a 10% discount I'm not doing my job as a consumer. I'm very aware that I'm paying for my desire to play new. With my backlog, just about anything else can wait.

Well, in case of Vampyr I have to say - it's worth 50 bucks! Loved that game. ^^
I will admit that I probably buy too many new games. I have quite the backlog myself, and I should probably use it. But what the heck, when the new Ori came out I just bought and played it, because that's what I wanted to do. No matter how many unplayed games I still have on my list. ;)

It's 15 dollars on sale now, and I'm sure I'll love it when it rolls in via Humble or Fanatical!
If you're looking for judgment, you won't find it from me. I would probably buy more new games if they fit more easily in my budget, and I think you should play what you want to play when the mood strikes you. That's partly why I have the backlog I do. For the most part, though, I've managed to shake the Play The New Thing! urge, and wait til the new thing is a LOT cheaper.
Someday I'm really going to enjoy Fallout 3. For example.

We had more giveaways around or over 20 euro - Space Marine, Strange Brigade, Dead by Daylight, Grip and don't even let me get started on how many games I had on steam that were later given on Epics Store. I have basically resubscribed to HB just for Kingsdom come just for it to be given away on epic shortly afterwards.
Redout was probably given out now to give the multiplayer more live which benefits the people that bought it previously. I get that it sucks but there is at least some silver lining there.
Also it is still better feeling than buying a game just for it to go free to play soon after that without any announcement ... That was my Eternal Crusade experience ... and I bought it twice up to that :-D

I'm glad they did level 2 restriction, this will certainly cut amount of bots that can claim extra copies.

She was being sarcastic because there are people here who do that.
You'll notice people saying "+1 to library and cards" on many free game threads.
They're showing that they don't care about the quality of the game, just that it gives them cards and a +1.

Is this one of those things were they'll have to give the game on Steam as well because you need to give your games on Steam if you give Steam keys for it somewhere else?
