Here on SG, you can still slide the sliders as you please. May the Choice be with you!

[▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁█▁] RECURRING: This might as well be the most amazing lineup ever featured in a Choice / Monthly so far. And people keep complaining that Humble Bundle is at its lowest peak these days…
[▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁█] NEW SUB: Well, now I got myself a subscription, let's see how long I last till I'll be playing the Pausing minigame as well.
[▁▁▁▁▁█▁▁▁▁] MAYBE: Others seem to like this month a lot but I'm on the fence. Maybe I'll see what Fanatical has in store for us this month first and only then decide whether I want to get this one or not.
[▁▁█▁▁▁▁▁▁▁] PAUSE: The genres of the sneak-peak games are not my thing, so I was hoping to find something interesting among the remaining games, in order to avoid a skip. Too bad it's not the case.
[█▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁] COMPLAINT: IGN made sure to not leave us even an ounce of choice, with the sliders gone and both Classic and Premium getting all games anyway every month.

Not all bad, not all bad.

Relicta is an awesome puzzle game, Recommended.
My last bundle with the 6$ deal, this is my last bundle from HB i guess, unless i get similar offers, usually only 1 or 2 games in the bundle i want to play and better to buy those games directly, that way the developers get more money for their games i want to play (and probably cheaper during sale than buying whole bundle for full price).

Same for me, but I am pretty sure that HB will give us similar deals (hardly a better one. I mean, for $6 this was a steal xD)

Last month for me too for 6 bucks but when I went to pay the 6 bucks this time it said next month would be 6 bucks again... huh what!? I thought it only lasted 6 months! Wow!

Check again. Mine said full price too but now it says
"Your next bill is for €4.92 on May 25, 2021."

That's because you haven't paid for this month yet. Next month's bill is for June, like it says for me:
"Your next bill is for US$12 on June 29, 2021."

They probably realised that grabbing a mandatory 30-40% 'Humble Tip' doesn't really help if a lot of their usual customers don't want to buy from them anymore.

Not bad at all! I highly recommend Levelhead if you're looking for an alternative to Super Mario Maker. Levelhead even offers more possibilities than Super Mario Maker.

Cook, Serve, Delicious 3! :D

Weirdly, that's the highlight for me. Been avoiding picking it up since I'm still playing through 2 with the GF, and the price hasn't dipped anywhere near the low prices that 1 & 2 hit in the past.

How would you rate the series so far? The visuals keep pushing me away from it, but I'm starting to think after it spawned 3 games this might have been a mistake.

The series so far for me being CSD1 & 2...

Good! Solid good. Not amazing, not the best thing ever, but definitely still good.

I picked up CSD1 thinking from the description I might learn some new real life recipes and be able to "practice" cooking them. -- No. -- It's like Cooking Mama, if you're familiar with that series (I'm not), where it's a panicked mash of hitting the right buttons to prepare and serve the orders. Depending on the menu you choose for your restaurant, how popular your restaurant is any given day, and how familiar you are with each menu item already, it can be easy-but-challenging, or nearly impossible to get a perfect day. Keyboard input is the original input, and easiest to memorize, but when I started playing co-op, they had also added controller support, and since I almost always play co-op now, I always play with a controller now.

CSD2 is more of the same, with less abstract graphics, and an unlock system that I'm not as happy with, a different bit of the kitchen to prepare side order type items in the relatively short down time, and some improvements in other areas as well as a largely expanded menu. CSD2 is something of a side-grade. Overall, it's better, but there are still a couple of things I miss from the original.

Both games have excellent music. The graphics are definitely secondary to gameplay, so don't let that be the reason you avoid it. But the gameplay may also be kinda niche, so I might recommend checking it out on YouTube first.

I'm looking forward to 3's take on the series with more story and world building integrated into the gameplay, but certainly each iteration of CSD is a bit different from the other while retaining the basics of mash the correct buttons to get a perfect day.

Thanks a lot for the in-depth response, man. Gonna look at some gameplay videos and see it works for me because I do like Overcooked although both games are vastly different experiences.

Nice, it seems the $6 voucher will be indeed valid for next month too!
Though I wouldn't bet on it remaining valid till the auto-charge date.

It is not valid. If you go to "Manage your plan", it appears the normal price.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Is not that dependant on whether your first 6$ bundle was the december or january choice (if i remember right, the voucher's purchase deadline slightly went into the january bundle release)?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I had bought the December before getting the coupon and paid automatically for the January choice. However, it said on the coupon that it was 6 months starting on December, so even if you had previously bought it, bad luck. They don't give an extra month.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I see, thanks for the correction!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It is valid for whole 6 month period and not for the 6 bundles, in other words if you have purchased this offer on 25th December then you can buy this bundle for 6$ till 24th this month even if it is the 7th bundle but after 25 of this month you have to spend 20$. So if you like this then unlock it before 24th.

100% with you there. A good bundle for most people I suspect, but a bit too heavy on the frantic, souls like, hack n slash, fps, platformer for my liking. Would liked to have seen a turn-based or more strategic / management / thinking type game. Still - grabbed it for $6, perhaps the one or two puzzle games in there will be ok.

Metro Exodus Enhanced is releasing May 6th and will be free for owners of the original.
This rly makes me consider going for just that one game o_O

I wonder if the new Enhanced Edition will come with the DLC even if your base copy from this bundle doesn't.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I highly doubt that.
1) Obviously, they won't give free content for "only" 2 years old AAA game (which sold quite well)
2) They probably want to get money from people who buy this bundle and then will buy the additional DLCs
3) The article itself includes "How big is the install?", where the DLCs are separated, which wouldn't be needed if the DLCs were included in one big package.

But of course, I would also gladly take the DLCs for free, so fingers crossed.

DLC's aren't included unless you own them:

Yes, the expansions will always be available and will work the same way as the rest of the game entitlement, you will be entitled to the EE version of the content you own.

If I bought the regular DLC after that releases would they unlock for Enhanced later too? Or just before May 6th?

The 6th is only the day when they release the Enhanced Edition. It doesn't end your eligibility to gain the free upgrade.

Permalink

Sometimes these upgrades are only given free to people who have the game at the time that the upgrade is released. For that reason I added the game to my account now.

I tried looking it up, and every article I found said that the upgrade is free for existing copies. But according to the dev's reply here it should be free for future buyers as well 🤔
