In my country, the most common form we usually consume mustard is via tempering along with some aromatics and spices. Levels up whatever it gets added to.
In terms of paste, I prefer all things sesame! Also TIL what Senf means, sounds so similar to 'Saunf' for me. Which means Fennel, another seed that is so versatile!

I can feed you with more useless trivia. Senf is one of four words in German that end on ***nf the others are Genf, Hanf and fünf. Contrary to mustard you can eat the Fennel plant. If you use Citrus juice Fennel bulbs don't taste like cough drops.
