Bundle Stars is killing it right now

Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition for $20.
All Fear games plus all DLC for $5.
Planetary annihilation plus 9 other games for $5.

Bundle Stars is on the rise, I find myself checking their website more than Humble Bundle now

The Origin 2 was an amazing one

Most keys weren't for Steam nor DRM-free but for that piece of shit Origin. And Dragon Age Origins was without any DLC's in that bundle.

It's was awful bundle.

For someone who didn't own Dragon Age and Dead Space 2 (as myself) even without DLC's for 1$ it was a great deal. You would never get it cheaper anyway

Comment has been collapsed.

Completion? you got all the achievemnts?? ;) Yup, curiously bundlestars Shadow of Mordor+Season pass was cheaper than on any other place, they killed gmg's and getgames offer. Curiously it wasn't being displayed on isthereanydeal.

ANyway bundlestars has few products and not always the offers are so good.
Bundles are good, but on average more expensive.

I bought from them some bundles, I never said it isn't legit, just when comparing prices it wasn't displayed there ;)

I guess you mean competition. Yes it's necessary. No competition means monopoly and monopolies are bad for consumers in general.

I find myself checking none. Why? Yup, you guessed it, no moneyz!

You have 425 games and you have given away 52 games. You don't seem like someone who's out of money.

I check them to see are there any good games, if there are I try to get them from traders for my cards or gems. I don't have paypal, credit card or any way of buying bundles myself.

You think time repeats itself? I ran out of money to buy games, there are other important things in my life. I also sold all my cards so if I buy a game it will be from the steam store.

not dolars. everytime i see dolars i am so mad. bundle stars got damn euros at europe. i dont give a fuck about damn taxes. srart writing both prices. somehow humble bundle has dolars for every region (at least for europe).

I don't really check bundlestars since they don't offer DRM-Free games. Humble bundle does, and usually for only a penny, and that's a HUGE score.

Permalink

Yep, scoring android bundles week after week for a penny - only tier 1, but I still found some real gems :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yep, this is where HB wins, even though BS have been great lately. They're DRM free when they can be whereas Bundle never are and they have the 1 cent tier, and a better account system, plus they often give soundtracks. It's great to have competition though!

Humblebundle usually has better bundles if you take "freshness" into the picture, more AAA material.
Though I've found Bundlestars really great at keeping value, even with older games or genres - okay, lots of eeewww simulators, but as far as I checked, they are good simulators! Or older games? Great older games! (Cossacks, almost anything from Reboot and killer bundles)
Also, I think BS had one of the best Black Friday sales with great deals. So I really love them - but as others said, I'll go for the cheapest and best deals, so no hating towards any of the bundle sites (though HB could get itself a little together for my taste, almost June and they didn't had half a dozen bundles I went " heck yeah!" about. But you know, keep the faith and wait for the next bundle :)

Like MaxThunder I don't really have the money to buy all the bundles, but I do prefer Bundle Stars over Humble Bundle, because all that "pay What You Want" is a goddamn lie. You get the shittiest games for a buck and have to pay the "average" only a few seconds after the bundle is online.
Indiegala doesn't have a proper currency convertion so everytime I buy something magical money adds itself to the price, although it should be cheaper in euro, rather than more expensive.
Bundle Stars has great deals and what you see is what you get! They are doing it right, because the "Pay What You Want" only means "You can pay more if you want but you do have to pay what we want" nowadays.

Permalink

it WAS "pay what you want" but people abused it and they had to change it...

Comment has been collapsed.

I know that it was this way, but the average is often more expensive than buying wvery game on their own on g2a or whatever.
Also the default setting of their income distribution, I hope that makes sense, is annoying me. They advertise it with doing something for charity but the default setting is that most of it goes to the developers, some to humble bundle as a tip and the redt to charity.
I know you can adjust it yourself but many people will ignore this.

I agree that Bundle Stars' bundles are getting better and better, but I HATE their pricing. I pay as much as the americans on HB, but on Bundle Stars I pay even more Euros than they do Dollars. Cuz $4.99 is not the same as €5.68.

Bundle Stars aka Focus Multimedia Ltd. are based in UK, and have to include VAT for all European customers, meanwhile there is no tax to US customers.
Tell me, what exactly I don't know here?

For example that UK don't need to charge VAT if they have less than ¿77kpounds profit or sales or VAT? forgot it.
And well, I guess dohlicious means taxes in general and what they provide to the citizens.

If I'm not mistaken HB's base is still in Brussels, EU, this is why there is no additional VAT. I don't remember BS's accurate base, but it's definitely in the US, so the from-US-to-(VAT-galore)-EU VAT applies.

Weird... maybe no VAT on HB because of it's charity work? I'm utterly clueless, I'm just enjoying that 1$ means 1$ at them :)

American companies don't need to charge added tax to customers abroad. They even don't have to charge it to people from other states. Only to people who lives in same state, where company has its offices.

In this case - HB is registered in Delaware - that state has no sales tax, so $1 is $1 to everyone.

Thank you for the explanation :) No sales tax... huzzah for Hungary and it's crazy 27% tax on EVERYTHING. No additional taxes sounds like a dream compared to this.

They are both great bundle sites, but I keep liking Bundle Stars more and more since they bundle older games and under them you can find some pretty nice gems that wouldn't be bundled on humble bundle.

Groupees is the best bundle site, with fine and cheap bundles.
Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition for $20 is nightmare expensive for some regions. For example, it was for $8-10 in RU-store with discount.

I like both of them. Bundle*'s usually have good games in their bundles but more expensive, Humble on the other hand is really cheap but the games arent usually that good.

I like both

Bundle stars is good for older games and sometimes newer games and usually have decent prices but the downside is it is one set price so that can be good or bad.

I like humble for the 1tier as sometimes you just want a couple of the games, and plus you can choose where the money goes. The downside is sometimes the BTA is way expensive for the games offered, but it is for charity so that is the up side.

I watch both of them depending what i am looking for,i also keep an eye on Indiegala though they are really hit and miss but great for boosting game count if your into that thing same with groupees

You can also check out Epicbundle.com they list bundles from all the popular sites plus sites offering free games and such.

A humble bundle coming out feels like an event to check up on, while the endless bundles of stuff I'm never going to be interested, set price tier and conversion to pounds costing more, lack of option to give money to charity, no drm free games from bundlestars means Humble Bundle is much better in my opinion.
