Hey guys. The remake of the classic Chinese RPG 仙剑奇侠传/仙劍奇俠傳, the first game of the game series that kicked-off the early Chinese video game industry has arrived on Steam Greenlight! This series has seen great success in and has a huge fan base in Taiwan and mainland China that produces things like cosplay shoots and fan art, and has seen numerous spin-offs and derivative works, such as MMOs, concerts, books, TV shows, and card games. Unfortunately, none of the many games in the series has been officially translated into English and published in English-speaking countries. If the remake of the first game makes it on to Steam, then there's hope that other games of the series and the developer might also come to Steam, possibly with English translations. Please check it out and show your support so that these excellent yet underexposed works may come to a broader audience! Thank you!

You can get the updated version of the original game here for free. Direct link

You can also get a ported version of it for the iOS on the App Store.

EDIT: Oh ok. Makes sense.

Yes. Sometimes you fight epic yaoguai and demons, and sometimes you battle inanimate objects.

In Fire Emblem you also fight inanimate objects, like old dead trees or walls, so you can have a new path to follow and a new more effective strategy.

That's why it makes sense to me :P

They can't just go around? I can see a space on the side. It would be a great deal faster than chipping a rock to pieces.

Chinese is one of the languages that I have in my list of languages that I will eventually learn xD

The game looks fun actually. Voted, but I hope it gets some translation to English.

I'll translate your screenshots for you if there's no English translation if you want.

No worries. I hope for a English release so I could play it. And I will learn it someday.

Also I don't see the point of translating just single screenshots without knowing the background story or not having the game to play(yes, I know it's free, as you said earlier, but I ain't ask you to translate the whole game for me).

But thanks anyway.

O_o I would love that, but games like this have a lot of dialogue I don't think anyone would want to bother you with that much. But I hope it gets an English translation too, I got interested in this when you linked in on another thread....I had no idea what anything said though XP

Hopefully it gets an English translation, even a fan translation would be nice. Voted for it anyways.

There was at least one fan translation project for this game, but it came to a halt before completion. The short partial patch is no longer available, either.

I'd actually like to give this game a try, there isn't enough games set in China. Plus, punching a rock looks intense. But, yeah, English would be nice.

P.S. I'm only learning Mandarin for a few months, so I'm not sure if I'm using "de" here correctly, but whatever: 谢谢你的赠品

Yep. The de usage is correct there. No problem.
The main characters' weapons are: Single handed sword for 李逍遥, Double swords/staff for 赵灵儿, Single handed sword/whip for 林月如, and staff/single handed blade for 阿奴.
Also, here's a series of video walkthroughs for the game I've found.
