I have a winner who has an obviously fake email address. What to do? The domain in his address is 0.test, looks like an invalid domain.

whois 0.test
No whois server is known for this kind of object.

Now it is jesusfuckingchrist@horsefucker.org nice...

Is it a good idea to send the link to myself to get the key from it? Can I do that without a new fanatical account?

I would ask them in one of their GAs to provide me with a working email address. If they don't respond in 7 days ask for a reroll. If they have won a GA and thanked for the gift, you can also comment on their comment.

I would just add them on Steam. If they have comments enabled on their Steam profile, you can let them know that you are adding them to send a game from SG. You can also try messaging them here by adding a comment to your giveaway they won and hope they check it, or leave a comment on a previous giveaway they created to let them know that you are trying to add them on Steam to send the game.

I recommend against adding comments on Steam. At least mentioning anything about gifts or winning or such. This can result at least in temporary ban of steam account.

Even a comment on a users profile page? I guess they're detecting words related to giveaways or winning because they are often used for scams. Maybe just write something like "I am adding you from SG" and don't explain why. That will probably be enough for the winner to connect the dots and realize who you are.

Yes a month or so ago I commented on a profile of a person that was trading a game for a few steam gems (sack of gems), I said "hey wanted to buy X game for the steamgems you mentioned" 2m after my whole steam got locked out scared the crap out of me, like it wasnt a soft lock or anything, full red warning can't do anything besides open support ticket, I can't even remember if I could acess my games. Steam support was basicly blaming me because I was trying to buy outside of steam, but I wasnt it would literally be a steam trade.

That's crazy. So many companies are anti-consumer and we have had it good with Valve for a long time. I hope they don't change and hurt PC gaming.

You can always get a secondary email address, no one said you have to use your full name. At this point this is just rude.

Only email I use is work mail, I wouldn't read it anyway if I got another email address.

Send the game there. If he won't receive it - it is his problem now.

I think he just does not want his win.

I'm not sure if I can resend from fanatical though...

You can't. The game key will be lost but at least the guy that acts pathetic like that will also not get it.

Unless he manages to create a whole email server with that email account there.

Yeah... I'd rather, send it someone who wants it. Requested a new winner.

Yeah - the best course of action is to pick a new winner that will be happy with his win instead of some a-hole that can't even provide a normal email to claim his win.
