You don't have to install at all. It's enough o click "install" on SteamDB page, then cancel immediately, when Steam's install window shows up.

Theyve patched it. In that free version there is 1 campaign out of 3. You still need to buy the game to play full version.

My guess would be that sales are really bad (non existent?) and they want to get a larger playerbase for multiplayer, trying to sell DLCs.

Could be resources the game needs without the campaigns themselves. If you have the stand alone DLC, you can still play online with others.

In case you have good internet it would be awesome if you could maybe download and try to lauch the game because I have a feeling RATT78 is right and this is not the actual game but rather some sort of Asset kit or maybe a Multiplayer Only version at best.

I was able to install, launch and continue my game from the free weekend. Seems to be the real thing. Now I feel kinda bad for the devs, hope this was intentional, though I have read they have had some issues with making the base game purchasable after people bought the stand alone expansion, so maybe it's a result of them fiddling with the settings.

When you search for the game in Steam store, it says "free" in the search bar, but not on the store page. And after adding it through SteamDB, it says on the store page "owned". Whether that will last, especially if it was a mistake that wasn't meant to give out the game for free to promote the new DLC, such may be a bit different question though.

It's the Polonian campaign, i tried the first 2 missions, works fine.
if the main game contains 3 campaigns, number 2 and 3 are missing / have to be bought (but not offered currently in Steam), rest seems to be additional DLC.
