Thank you :)
I have found the reason why people need so much toilet paper ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Masturbation boosts your immune system, helping you fight off infection and illness

I use lotion-infused tissues. They do a lot to help prevent a chapped nose.
Comment has been collapsed.
all depend on how many times your use it.. if you use it every 1 minute... yes... happen in all the world.
but still worth it, two square of toilet paper it's enough for one time, sometimes 3 squares depending in the moment of the cold you are.
so with one toilet paper of 0.20$ you can use it like if you spend 10$ on tissues. (exagerating numbers of price)

Oh. Thanks for this unexpected insight into male culture.

One of my favourite reminders that capitalization is important comes with the example of "Your uncle Jack is stuck on the roof. Would you rather help your uncle jack off or help your uncle Jack off?" which is something I couldn't help thinking about when I saw the name XD Stop getting stuck on the roof, uncle dearest!

Trust me it's common, and trust me when this is by far not even the weirdest thing guys do.
Well weird, it's just that for young guys if they got a whole bin full of Kleenex that would be akward too, a sock you can just put in with the rest of your wash and noone would know and it's closeby.
Have you never watched American Pie?
If people are already shocked about socks, i am not even gonna mention melons.
Comment has been collapsed.
Did i ever say it was connected to a movie? Nope.
Young guys just grab anything close by simple as that, and it could really be anything.
And you discuss (truthfully) with other guys what they use? Hmm okay.
Just google it if you really that interested in discussions or clips even, then you see it's no joke.

Keep in mind the main people at risk are those with pre-existing medical conditions or elderly/children. Smokers are at higher risk too.

As blacklists work both ways, it is likely that this person has blacklisted you, locking him or her out of your giveaway.

I wish my work toilet looked like this ... toilet is a 5 minute walk from my work station, and it takes sometimes 5 to 10 minutes to get a staffer to cover for me when I want to go .... then get downstairs to find you have to run back up and take some off the shelves...not the best :)

Haha, I love stupid people. So much entertaining :)

Health officials are having to remind people to wash their hands and how to properly wash their hands. People are dumb.

"Now my personal view of this virus is that it will become the new flu or common cold."
I think the same, but i'm still afraid for older people.
And i love the giveaways names, very thematic :p
bad dream fever - trillion god of destruction - putrefaction - flipping death

Totally did not even realise :)
I am trying to work through my backlog of bundle spares and am doing it chronologically. So these giveaways are from mid October to mid November.
And I hear you on the "older person/someone with underlying health issues". They almost need their own quarrantine scenario, with relatives being extra cautious. I have three in my household (I assume we are relatively healthy, but two of us are 60+) and wonder what happens if one of us is told to self isolate. The other two might have to join them in quarrantine ... that is awkward for food shopping, bill paying ... I am so not prepared for a pandemic.

It's more like the new Spanish flu, with 20 to 30 times the mortality of seasonal flu. Good luck trying to get people to respect others' frailties - I am immunocompromised due to medication I take for a chronic health issue and I have had to push my own mother away to stop her kissing me when she was sick. Also, people who I've told about this will later tell me to be careful not to infect their child, apparently oblivious to the fact that infection is almost certain to go the other way (I once got giardia when the guy prepared food after changing a nappy without washing his hands). Also, people in Australia are super selfish and entitled - our latest risk of community spread COVID-19 in Perth is due to some stupid old woman that went to a concert in between getting tested and getting her (positive) result.
I think the stockpiling of bottled water is possibly even more confusing than buying six months worth of toilet paper - it's a respiratory infection, not an earthquake.

I cannot imagine the stress you must be under at the moment - like watching yourself in a car crash in slowmotion and just waiting months for some sort of ending (hopefully a great one, I personally hope they find a drug to treat the virus soon).
I think a lot of us can be thoughtless (partly due to ignorance) but the lack of hygiene is staggering, especially in those working with food handling.
We had some similar issue. A doctor came home from a trip to America, felt a little unwell but still went to work to treat patients in his clinic and did some visiting at aged care facilities - now quite a number of people are being tested as he had the virus. He stated he thought he only had a cold.
I hope your mother has learned a little more of how to keep you safe. Maybe present her with a face mask and gloves when she enters, just to reinforce your message.
Those people who are sick but symptom free or who just feel a little off colour are going to be the spreaders :(
You have my best wishes and hopes for you to stay healthy.

Oh, no it's not quite as stressful as that for me because my compromised immune system is a result of fortnightly medication so it is reversible in relatively short order. I don't particularly worry about it, I just stop taking my meds if I get sick and over the next week or two my immune system returns to normal (apart from also attacking my connective tissue where tendons and ligaments attach to bone). I still get annoyed with my family when they do things to expose me to illness because I'd like to think that I don't need to remind them not to infect me every time they are sick. My mum is normally pretty switched on (she recently bought cotton gloves to help remind her not to touch her face while travelling and she offered me a pair), which increases my frustration, but I guess she's not thinking as clearly when she's sick. I suppose I was just trying to say that it is very difficult to get people to treat you carefully unless you have a big visible constant reminder of your frailty (like wearing a sling, which I did in public for this reason when I broke my collarbone even though there was a metal plate holding my shoulder together). Thanks for your kind words.

In Poland, so far, we have less than 10 cases and no fatalities. Having more time to get prepared certainly helps, but I doubt, if eventually we will be able to contain it any better, than Italy or Germany for example. So, unless warmer weather comes soon and has a sanitizing effect on it, it will come here as well.
I'm 62, but no hear problems, no diabetes, and with generally efficient immune system, so I don't really feel at high risk. The particular health problems, that I have, should not make me vulnerable to this threat. I do worry, though, about many of my friends, that are in worse health, than me, especially those after hearth attacks.
Generally I think, that it's most likely, that we will not be able to contain it, unless a vaccine is ready to be used in a few months. From current reports it seems, that it's also mutating pretty fast. And, unlike SARS, it spreads very easily between people. So, yes, it's very likely, that it will become as common, as flu or common cold, and we will get used to it. With such scenario there is still a question, what price will we pay?
In the worst case scenario we will not improve our ways to defend against it, and the current death rate, which is somewhere between 1% and 5% will stay, which could mean between 70 and 350 million victims worldwide at the first wave, and then fatality rates dropping quite fast.
Honestly, I don't think, it's likely to happen, even if there is no vaccine and no specific drug developed against it. Most likely we will shortly find some combination of already existing drugs, that will significantly reduce the deaths. Still, for many reasons the world may change quite a bit before we are over this crisis. Let's hope, that it will be for better, not for worse.

I am a similar age and hope, like you, that I will get a mild dose. I am split between "why are we panicking" and a recognition that the vulnerable citizens (elderly and unwell) need to be as protected as possible for as long as possible.
There are a lot of scientists doing interesting work on the virus itself and also testing different drugs. Listening to the news early this morning- one specialist said an effective vaccine would take at least 18 months to be created. So we all need to chill out. If nothing else we need to try to relax simply to stop our children and others worrying.
The mutation rate is probably the most dangerous aspect. This is a new virus for humans I believe, so a lot of unknowns going forward.

So, unless warmer weather comes soon and has a sanitizing effect on it, it will come here as well.
I read that it's "false hope" virus will retreat with warm weather. It's summer now in Australia, and virus is very well there.
unless a vaccine is ready to be used in a few months.
Vaccine may be as efficient as flu vaccine. Plus virus mutates, they already found out there are two different strains attacking humans.
If we'd make permanent vaccine however - there are people dumb enough to question their effectiveness, say they "cause autism", and would not vaccinate themselves or their kids. Which will end up just like measles - it was thought we will beat this disease, but now it's again in rise thanks to anti-vaxers.

Totally correct. I think part of the toilet paper hoarding is giving them a sense that they are doing something, gaining some measure of control. I still use soap and water myself, although that is partly due to me disliking the sanitizer. (I find it dries out the skin, and only use it if I visit a hospital where they require you to use it)

Same happened here, but also with flour and some other things. My wife wanted to bake some cookies and we had to go on a quest to find a pack of flour ;) Yeah... it's silly, but most likely it'll blow over soon (not the virus, but the panic).

Thanks for the giveaways. I think it was just a matter of time for me to get sick since I take buses to get to work every day. Strangely I only see 3-4 people covering their faces with a mask or something. It's strange people aren't stocking up on canned goods and cold medicine.
Comment has been collapsed.
True, about the canned goods and medicines. Mostly Australians are fairly laid back. I hope that people will settle down and relax a bit more in the coming weeks. Perhaps the government could help by not popping every infected person in a hospital and just suggesting they stay in home confinement (although that is problematical for those of us who share our homes - what to do with the well ones?)
Maybe only the sick should wear a mask - would stop the droplet contamination when the talk or cough.

Thanks for the GAs.
About the virus I can only tell you that during last 24 hours 130+ people died in Italy.
If everything will go fine 3-5% sick people will die and we will forget about corona virus before 2020 ends.
If everything will go badly... well lets just hope it won't.

yeah, well, that's truly insane.... a couple days ago we had the first case locally (close to be nearly the next town) but even before that everybody went nut's on on the toilet paper... also very high in demand are those period accessories for women...
So if that hasn't made it down under yet, maybe stock up on some of those OB's and sell them for some profit (read: ga material ;)
funniest thing: canned food (which might actually be useful when preparing to be locked down) is totally frowned upon...

We got the first confirmed case in my country a few days ago, not even a week has passed and there's already like a dozen confirmed cases and one death so panic has started to spread, I guess the same type of mad rush to buy stuff is going to happen soon.
Comment has been collapsed.
My country's economy is collapsing (yet again) at the same time for other reasons, so people know for a fact that prices are going to skyrocket anyway, probably the reason why they haven't yet started to stockpile stuff is because money is short for everyone right now. At least there's two provinces between me and the confirmed cases so my city might get out of it unafected if we're lucky.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, the economic downturn will be huge world wide. Our stockmarket has been diving all week and with people becoming more stationary, some industries (tourism and travel industries especially) are really struggling.
Is that an old curse - "May you live in interesting times"?
Our times are interesting. Hopefully people will use common sense and compassion to go forward.

I can think of a few items that I might grab if people were dropping like flies, but toilet paper is not one of them. I work in a local IGA (a supermarket, stands for Independant Grocers of Australia) and I work on the register (serving groceries and liquor). Our customer base is probably evenly split between those loading up on loo paper and those who want to know why there is a panic about the toilet paper. None of us knows - but my bosses are jubilant. Toilet paper is made in Australia and there is no shortage - so our store is selling the paper at full price and the manufacturers are just sending us extra deliveries. With just 70 cases confirmed Australia wide (our population is 25 million) it is not really a worry yet, surely.

Now my personal view of this virus is that it will become the new flu or common cold. The sooner I catch it the sooner I can get better. And if I have some groceries set aside ... home confinement sort of sounds a little like a holiday for me :)

Hope everyone stays safe and people try to relax a little over this virus. I know it can be dangerous to those with health issues and the elderly so hopefully the clever medical experts can create some sort of cure or effective treatment for it soon.
