You got money so why go cheap? And in the UK I can't help you as far as local stores go but you know what to do, Google it! I see them in the ads from Fry's Electronics all the time for under $50, don't remember the brand because I am not interested. So IDK but I hope this helps.

Plantronic's Headset (Gamecom 780) is very cheap on Amazon. It has 40mm Speakers, 7.1 Channel Sound, It also has Surround Sound Feature, and a good quality microphone! I'm telling you that headset is great especially for Steam!
It's slightly over $50 bucks though. http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-GameCom-780-Surround-Headset/dp/B006ZS5ATM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344393432&sr=8-1&keywords=plantronics+gamecom+780

A big and cheap one. I bought one of those for $13 and they have been great and working flawless for about three years. Don't expect the microphone to work as long, though. But it's probably because I drop it very often.

What do you want it for?
If you want to listen to music with them, do yourself a favor and get some with with cord. I doubt you will find a wireless one without annoying buzzing under 50$.
If it's just for playing games and watching TV, I made good experience with those.

Find me a good pair of corded headphones then, willing to pay up to £100 now.
Only reason I want wireless is I have a bad habit of chewing things and have chewed through my headphone cable...

I really like the look of the king-size luxury earpads.

If you will be using the headphones on a PC and have a free USB port, I recommend the Sony Wireless Stereo Headset PS3.
Pros:
Cons:
For the most part if you own a portable storage drive or a cell phone from the pass five years you probably have the cable needed to charge the headset.
The headset uses 2.4Ghz range for communication but has shown to work well even in a WiFi saturated environment. I've personally tested it to range outwards to 20 metres unobstructed. Your experience may differ if you live in an environment with steel plated or lead lined walls.
The Sony Wireless Stereo Headset PS3 is probably your best bang for the buck unless you tend to rage and toss whatever is closes to you across the room.

Just noticed this offer for the Audio Technica ATH-M50
Well worth it for that price. High fidelity crisp sounds. Excellent for music (listening and production) and superb for gaming, imo.

I'd go with Sennheisers for wireless.
Specifically, this model: Sennheiser RS 120
Yes... they maybe a bit more pricey, but you won't get the annoying buzz sound and you'll have clear audio; Along with being able to charge them by placing them on a stand, saving you money in rechargeable/regular batteries.
Edit: 15 dollars more then what you're looking for, but just think that you won't have to buy energizer rechargeable batteries for 20+ bucks for 4 + charger and you're golden.

I have them hooked up to my home theatre system for 3+ years, and they work well... in fact, VERY WELL; and, I believe, at even longer range then the manufacturer even boasts. The quality is top notch for wireless headphones, the highs and mids are vibrant, without being too harsh and the bass is LOW... almost to subwoofer standards, without giving you a headache. They're also VERY comfortable, you can sit in these all night and play Gears of War without having anyone know.

Love my Sennheiser 280 Pros, and my 595s. Would highly recommend!

Well, if they're in your price range, grab em.
I, personally, like the whole charge cradle thing going on the 120's. I hate having to remember to recharge batteries, my phone irks me enough as it is. With the 120's, I just place em on the dock and I know they'll be ready again when I need them. As it stands 99 pounds is much higher then your margin, so I didn't take those into account.

Can't find the 120s for cheap in the UK, probably willing to splurge for a good set of headphones

Looking for cheap headphones (less than 50$) and would like them to be wireless over the ear headphones.
