Deadline is up. I will now randomly pick 10 people to invite. I will send out steam friend requests today-ish.

I have Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide sitting in my inventory. It needs a home.

10 people will get invited to the giveaway!
You just need to post your top 10 games of 2015 (or less, if you haven't played 10) in this thread.

I only accept submissions between now (18:00/6pm CET) and 3:00/3am CET (unless I don't get 10 people together).
The giveaway itself ends on the 31th

ENJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY

I always find it difficult to make such lists. I could spend hours going through all of the games that I've played, debating over what deserves to be in the top 10, but I'm tired, so here is a "quick" list (with some games that I've first played prior to 2015, but feel should be listed as I still play them):

  • Dirt Rally
  • Kerbal Space Program
  • Rocket League
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (Played it with a modified version of the Misery mod)
  • Space Engineers
  • Besiege
  • Underrail
  • Halo Online
  • Dwarf Fortress
  • CodeCombat

Hmmmm...

Well, let's see. there are quite a few, and I'm not sure if I'll hit 10 without fudging it a little, but I'll give it a go. These are in no particular order; they're vastly different genres, so I'm not sure how best to compare them.

  1. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, for competitive multiplayer with depth and tactical integrity while keeping enjoyable gunplay. This is my most recent acquisition, so I'm afraid I need more time to process; the beta was quite fun, and I'm still getting used to the new operators; terrorist hunt provides co-op gameplay, while multiplayer is competitive and the community is decent.
  2. Crosscode, a true gem. I normally don't recommend early access games, but I fell in love with this one. I picked it up in a bundle, but it's worth full price and more; while there's a very short story at the moment, the game offers quite a bit of content and has absolutely enthralling gameplay and art. My review lists more of the reasons I like this game.
  3. Undertale, which probably made quite a few lists. Undertale is a unique twist on "JRPG" formulas and has one of the better stories of the year; the gameplay actually has consequences and the game has an excellent OST to round out the mix.
  4. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, an excellent expansion to a solid MMO. While the raids are underwhelming and nothing nearly as interesting as some of XIV's original roster, the progression dungeons are interesting and the new classes provide more diversity to the game. If Heavensward grows as well as FFXIV did, it will be an easy recommendation.
  5. Dungeons and Dragons Online, okay, I'm cheating on this one, because it's way old, but I got back into it some this year and the new content, although a bit powergamer oriented, is pretty fun. I've played this game for, oh, 8 years? Also, uh, I probably can't get 10 without some filler. (If you're interested in picking up the game, I play on Ghallanda and have a guild with some buffs for newbies. Also, it's basically empty, so I could use more bodies...)
  6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, for some of the best visuals of the year coupled with great game play and Kojima's writing. Not for the faint of heart, MGSV has tons of content, tense stealth action, and a story that will make the players roll their eyes at "Oh, Kojima again," but remain compelling and unexpected throughout. However, this might be Kojima's last game for the franchise, which makes this a bittersweet parting note, especially given that it doesn't really tie up any loose ends.
  7. Duck Game, with its frenetic action combat deserves a special mention. The realistic and gritty combat provides PTSD flashbacks for up to four players, though the netcode could use some optimization.
  8. Shadowrun: Hong Kong, is the latest and greatest iteration of Shadowrun from Harebrained Schemes. While Returns had a bumpy launch, Hong Kong offers an interesting setting, robust combat, a plethora of customization options, a few new toys, and excellent writing that surpasses the original by leaps and bounds. While Chronicles is also a contender with its multiplayer oriented campaign, Hong Kong tells a story with much more precision and with slightly more interesting game play in my opinion.
  9. Killing Floor 2 deserves a mention. It's been plagued by some controversy over microtransactions, especially because of Overkill's similar move, but I have faith in Tripwire to deliver a quality game and provide a decent value. My Steam review lists more stuff, but apparently people hate my review.
  10. ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS is an intense local multiplayer game with... well, read my review if you care. It's pretty. There are explosions. Your friends will cry as you demolish them. No netplay though.

First of all - I've did not play a lot this year, in fact just a very little bit. Ok so since you allowed game relased all time i'll do it this way: few games from past years on lower places and 3 the highest places for THIS year gems. Let's do it then :

  1. Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt --- I'm not really fan boy and this game is definitely not 10/10 in my opinion but when i first loaded it up and visited those villages, and one of them looked so similar to the place where my grand-grandparents lived and i was there few times for holiday hell of a lot years back so much nostalgia punched me in the face and so far nothing could beat this feeling this year.
  2. Rocket League
  3. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward ---- Well I did't think i'll ever since Lineage 2 include mmo in such list but... hell i honestly don't like all those japanesse games and this final fantasy madness never hit me but this one... well I like it !
  4. Lionheart : Legacy of The Crusader --- OK, so this one is old, and i mean really OLD, like 2003 or something but I've found it in my GOG library and decided to replay it for a moment in one rainy friday afternoon, and I've completely lost myself into this game for tons of hours, as much as I enjoyed this year Witcher - Lionheart still beats it in my eyes.
  5. The Saboteur --- Last game made by Pandemic unfortunately...
  6. Resident Evil 4
  7. South Park Stick of Truth - played it early this year and had tons of fun with it.
  8. Castle of Illusion I would normaly did not call it a masterpiece but amount of fun we had with fiance playing it was enormous.

I'm sure i've forgot about something, miss something since my memory is good but short, when fiance wakes up maybe will edit it. But so far i think that sums up this gaming year for me.
