Classic trap. Make it original next time, and I won't ruin it for you. Oh, and nice hacking a steam account with some games, I bet you got at least one person with the giveaway records and a profile picture of him and his fiance. Perfect victim.

I'm not sure how I'm making this a trap..Its using my account (aneff@lssu.edu), with a password I give you to play, if it seems like a trap, I'll close it, I just don't understand the reasoning. If you feel as though the client link is not legit, feel free to find it in the many places upon the web, I'm just attempting to make it easier. I just wanted people play the beta so they can make a decision upon it themselves before the purchase the live copy.

Was wondering how this would be pulled off, but... with the authenticator tool (step "2" there)... I dunno... maybe it would actually work. Wouldn't be surprised if it's against Blizzard's rules, so I'm purely speaking technically here. Also... there's always the "well... beta testing this situation..." excuse. :-\
fwiw, takes about 2h45m to get through the beta with one character killing everything on your way and you'll be level 10 by the end. maybe 2h if you don't get distracted easily (just focus on the objectives), and you'll probably be level 9 then. Level 13 is the max in the beta and takes another quick run through with the L9/L10 character.
imho, all the chars are about equal so far -- they each have their "cool" things, and none of them are drastically weaker or stronger in any particular area at the low char levels in the beta.

as far as I know, it's still just login/pass (I don't use the authenticator with my account, so I can't say for sure)
I was "wondering" insofar as much as your account not getting hijacked. And with the authenticator... sounds like you're solid there.

I'll gladly join, since i bought the game and i kinda can't wait, though i need to download the client first.
Thank you, i'll probably try to reach you by the weekend if possible.

Thanks for this! Fortunately, I have already gotten to thoroughly play the beta and even though I was a hardcore D2 fan, I will not be ruining all of the good times by picking up D3. What do you think of it? Did you purchase the year subscrip to WoW?

I enjoyed it. I was unhappy about them removing things, like stats and a skill tree, but really, I'm a fan now. Every character was essentially the same to be viable in Hell in D2 anyways, so taking these away and replacing with the current system kind of makes sense. Still will miss it though.
I actually didn't. I stopped playing WoW long ago, so I just pre purchased the game itself. Client is sitting and waiting for the 15th.

I copied the link straight from the battle.net client download, so I have no idea. Either way it doesn't matter, as I said, it won't work since they added the authenticator to the d3 login screen. They didn't used to have that when I played through about two months ago.

i.e. a service like Amazon's S3, provided by Akamai
i.e. it's what Blizzard uses for content distribution

Diablo 3 is worth playing only for listening to Crispin Freeman voicing wizard.
If I wanted to play h'n's that's not ruled by money grubbing bastards (fuck your Battle.net 2.0 and fuck your auction house blizz), I'd play Torchlight 1 or 2, when it gets released, or Path of Exile (freemium, still in beta, but played nevertheless - it's a mmo game, very morbid and with AMAZINGLY developed talent tree).

I hope I'm allowed to do this, if not, Mods, feel free to close.
With the Diablo III beta ending May 1st, I'm allowing others to experience the game using my account, which has beta access. Completely free, no strings attached, just want everybody to get to play it for at least a bit.
Rules are simple
1) 5 hour time limit from the time I give you access. So I suggest downloading the client before I give you access (Client Link: http://us.media.battle.net.edgesuite.net/downloads/d3-installers/4de82d80-ddeb-4e61-80ae-b4e8817f54b0/Diablo-III-Beta-enUS-Setup.exe ), because once you've gained access, the 5 hours start to count down.
2) Don't attempt to access the battle.net account. There is an authenticator attached, so it's futile.
3) Play as much as you want for that 5 hours, delete characters, use the auction house, I don't really care, since I won't be using it again.
4) First come, first serve. I will establish a queue of players, if you cannot play at the time, I will move down the queue. At the end of that turn, I will go back to anybody who wasn't able to play before, in order.
5) Since I work, this is not going to be a constant thing. You may get a little more than 5 hours, so congrats. I will attempt to get the next player going as soon as I can, but my life always trumps you. Sorry.
6) Don't be a huge tool while in game. I'll be changing my Battle ID once the game goes live, but still, be a nice person.
7) Don't add me on steam, I will add or message you if you are going soon.
In 3 hours (6pm EST), I will give first access. Post here if you are interested. Happy Gaming.
