You did say every seven years, and Armenian folklore states that women who commit grave enough sins are punished by being forced into spending seven years in wolf form. Irish folkore has a legend about a similar curse..
So is it some sort of weird variant where after seven years the curse takes hold, and it turns you into a pig rather than a wolf?
Do the affected then have to fight against werewolves by building houses made of varying materials [I hear straw, sticks, and bricks are popular choices], presumably then followed by them having a house-demolishing brawl within the buildings?
Are you secretly a werewolf? Is that why you're trying to get us to kill the pigs?

This unfailingly brings back the nostalgia of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall, where the player character could, well, actually turn into a wereboar ^^

I stopped needing to pay that interpretation any mind once I went vegetarian. ;P
Teasing aside, I'd hafta go with the [preferably, spicy and cheesy] sausage in a bread roll utilization of the term, though, since that's the version I primarily enjoyed in the past, and the flavor was richer than the hotog & crescent roll interpretation [I'm not even going to touch on the American urge to wrap everything in bacon]. That said, I did have a favored hot dog for hot dog-based versions.
The attached images were the closest I could find to the version I usually favored, so just imagine versions with sausages inside:

I don't get the bacon thing either. Bacon and eggs sure, bacon on pizza sure, bacon bits on salad sure.....but bacon wrapped peppers? Or wrapping a steak in bacon? There is such a thing as overkill.
