Can you contact him through steam?
This is the only option, because you send the key so you can't reroll...

I'd say the two are totally separate items - him winning the giveaway which you've already sent and then him getting suspended for whatever reason - don't do anything

it's your fault, why didn't you check if he already won the game??

I never check if the person who won in my giveaways had won the game before. It is a good idea to do a check, but I think most people don't bother.

i always bother, i refuse to send a douche a game he already owns, that is seriously messed up

Nothing to do about it. If he doesn't (or can't) mark it as received you could contact support to remove the giveaway but they wont do a reroll since you can't be sure if the key still works (new winner might receive used key + give you bad feedback).

It is possible that this guy entered multiple drawings for the same DLC and then was suspended. If that happened, he wouldn't be able to withdraw any entries because he wouldn't be able to log into the site. In any case, you have already sent him the key.

There are a few different ways you can approach this. One is to contact Support and talk to them, find out what they think you should do. Another is to try and redirect the key, somehow. (Do you have a friend who can redeem it to his or her inventory?) Yet another option is to just throw up your hands and say, "Hey, it's my fault I didn't check out the winner before sending the key, so I guess this is going to be a learning experience for me."

Something like that happened to me on my first giveaway, though I was the one who got him suspended (should have checked his profile first, but I was new to the site and I thought that if he had won the game already, he wouldn't be able to enter another giveaway).
What I did was pick another user that had entered, contact him through steam and give him the key.

I would of suggested to request a reroll, but since your already given him the key, depends if used or not... no way to check?

I wonder if Steam support can check keys for us?

They could create a page for that purpose, but it could be subject to brute force attempts. Proxy servers and multiple accounts would bypass any timeouts Steam issues for brute forcing.

Lots of people have requested a key validation checker (without actually activating the key) in the past, so far steam provides nothing of a sort, yeah probably due to brute forcing as you said or other malicous attempts at finding keys.

I wonder if limiting validation checks to 1 per day per account would make it feasible without providing a useful way to brute force keys.

Is it against the rules to enter multiple giveaways for the same item?

The odds you'll win more than one are pretty low. Especially since you can always withdraw from giveaways if you win one and get your points back.

So if I win a game and already entered several more GA of the same game, I have to remove my entry from those?
Also, if I win a game twice, do I get my points back for the reroll?

Ok then, happy to learn that now and not by experience. Thank you.

To avoid being suspended. You need to not claim one of the prizes by leaving the status at not received. Then you need to contact the person who ran the giveaway and request that they re-roll a winner. If they refuse, create a ticket.

If you abide by these simple rules you'll be able to enter multiple draws for the same item without suspension. I'm speaking from first hand experience.

It's the responsibility of the sender to check though, if someone won 2 keys and got both mailed to them, the key he refused has still been exposed to someone, then it's a matter of trust.

But yeah, 3rd thing I do is remove other entries for that game, for my own benefit as much as anything so as not waste points.

If I win a gift and a key, I can return the gift. I can still say that I haven't activated the key, but that fact is now in question. It is a tough, but thankfully rare situation.
