Which for the third?
Would you look at that: I'm asked to compliment somebody and your comment is the very first. I guess it's fate! :)
Your events are always nice to see, what with all the puzzles, tricks and interesting music. And repeatedly seeing them inspired me to finally get off my ass (or rather firmly plant said ass in a chair) and actually make the train that I've been meaning to for quite a while!
So thank you for your generosity and all the fun you create!
PS Also I've stolen a trick or two that you use ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
Thank you. :)
Well in times such as these it's hard to actually get off that ass for a lot of people if you don't have to go to work, lot easier to sit behind a pc or tv. :p
But yeah some still do have to work, and i also see a lot more people jogging outside, i should do too.
But i find it scary, in a park you can't really step aside to keep distance (When the whole grassy bit is one big dog toilet), a majority still could care less about keeping distance.
Went to a store for toiletpaper, that the week before was so quiet but now it was like Corona didn't even exist, people just inches away from eachother.
And those are usually trick's i borrowed from others too ;) :p, back in the time when there were a lot more people doing puzzles.
And to be really honest i was going to do an easter jigidi thing but lacked the energy, i even originally had the idea to go back to the weekly jigidi thread, maybe i should let you inspire me back to start something like that again.

I've been listening to howls moving castle song lately. I own alot of the movies myself but that movie is my favourite and I just love the music in the song I posted. With them being on netflix its much easier for anyone who wants to consider watching them to give it a try

First off, thanks for the list of indies! I dont have enoughy time to trawl through Steam these days so recommendations on what to look out for are welcome.
I'd like to give a shout-out to BlueSmoke. They really appreciated me taking the time to dig out a pile of old keys and start sharing them again (after a looooong period of giveaway inactivity).

I wasn't expecting my name here! This was a really nice surprise Sean. Thank you both for the kindness, really <3
You guys make Steamgifts a better place. Love to come back here every week because of stuff like this. I hope I can return the kindness soon enough.
And welcome back SeanBahamut!
Both of you are whitelisted, although for the time being I'll only be able to create region locked giveaways, which makes me uneasy to be honest. I wanted to do a train :(

Sorry Zaugr but I voted for Marco & the galaxy dragon (bad for the wallet) as it looked the coolest imo. Nice to see you back on the forums :)

Wow, that are a lot of unknown games here. I stopped looking at Steam's recommendations long ago (except at winter/summer sale), there are too many games, not fitting in my special game category.
And now. A big thank you to Dohi64, group owner of the Steam group "Puzzle Lovers" who writes every week a newsletter for lots of puzzle games out there! This is so much work and I profited more than once from it, that I have to say again: THANK YOU, Dohi64!

And now the most important part: Thank you Kappaking for always spreeding positivity all around SteamGifts :D I really appreciate how you manage to spread a smile in most discussions so a big thank you for that. I know it's kinda cheesy what I'm saying but I mean every word I said <3

Did you solve "Ness Lake Nessie"?🦕

In some cases, the mystery should not be solved.(人Θ'o)…

No I wasn't aware of this, thank you Kappa! :D Listening through now, aaaaaaaa there's so many great tracks I hadn't previously found. Only Yesterday's main theme by Katsu Hoshi is one of my very favourites!
And I don't think I caught your bithday thread, if it was recent I hope you had a great one!

I am actually grateful with this site in general, even with the things that spoil the purpose (like bots, bots and bots). I have been able to enjoy a lot of games I didn't buy; some wishlisted, some I probably would never get without this site. Some dissappointments, some big and great surprises. So I would feela little bad for only praising a particular user. BUT, I still have better memories of some particular users (I don't know if it is bad mention people's nickname here), like Robster1276, who gave me Hollow Knight (a giveaway with almost 4000 entries, I never felt so lucky); or Robby's Ratpack, who makes a lot of great giveaways without too many requierements to join (and I have NEVER won one of those, but it is still awesome). And a couple of guys more who makes a lot of great giveaways without too much requierementes to join and I whitelisted (I still don't do any whitelist giveaway... but one day... one day), though I don't remember their nicks... because I didn't win something from them (but again, it is awesome).

I would like to compliment motherkojiro for her posts here. Every time I spot one it's well thought out and a lot of times they're of the deep kind, the ones that make you think. A lot of times her posts complement my own thoughts about certain subjects, and that's great. From what I've gathered from her posts, she's apparently a mom (I guess?), and it's awesome she takes the time to write such great stuff here.
I would also like to compliment rachellove, that started the amazing bundle threads, and sensualshakti, that improved them and works tirelessly to inform everyone here about new bundles, with cool pool options to boot. Also jbondguy007 for being such a cool guy, Mully for her iconic sarcastic comments, Mayanaise, metaleroed and all the og fellas (that I'm forgetting) that I've come to appreciate here over the years.
And konrad. Never forget the godfather of sg trolls that'll likely never be matched (because there are such things as bans now).

As if the title wasn't enough of a piece of art already, you recommend indie games too? Get out of here!
Not applying to your whitelist but you made it to my modest whitelist for the title alone, as if Sable and Genesis Noir (I mean, seriously!) weren't enough!
Also, since I'm here, I want to mention Khayta for selflessly and regularly bringing up SG members of note and for generally being a sweetheart.

Anybody who has ever been involved in the SG puzzles community (extra props to Zelghadis for the guide, without which I would never have been able to solve even my first puzzle!) gets my thanks! More often than not I don't even enter the GAs, the puzzles were the game all along :)

I would like to mention WorstShot since whenever i read one of their comments i kinda laugh a little. I like their humor. :D
Also really good list of games. Some of them i have been waiting some of them i have discovered in the recent Steam event. One of my favorite among them is I will probably buy day one Vigil: The Longest Night.
For your suggestion i have been thinking but i realized i don't really play games like that. Maybe Tales of Zestiria but i don't know. It has more of a shounen anime vibe.

Damn, your ranking is kinda similar to mine, with a few changes. While Perfect Blue isn't my favourite movie of all time, Millennium Actress definitely is. And yess, Perfect Blue is definitely a mindblow for the first time. And then all the other times as well, when you notice new things and develop different ideas... :)
Very jealous you got to watch Paranoia Agent as a child, traumatizing or not, btw haha. Did you manage to catch it on Adult Swim or??
Comment has been collapsed.
Quietly hitching onto this comment because I wanna rank them, too...
1) Tokyo Godfathers
2) Millennium Actress
3) Perfect Blue
4) Paprika
I've also seen Paranoia Agent and his short films, though I don't remember much of the former because I was so young when I saw it, other than being super horrified by the split-personality episode.

My thanks goes to ClemmyGames. The user makes lots of different giveaways for games that are not only new, but also obscure; I've lost count of how many games I would never have known about if it weren't for those giveaways.

I had never heard of this game before but holy shit is that VERY much ghibli-inspired haha xD I love it, thank you drbeckett! Another thing to keep my eye on.
The character models honestly almost look STRAIGHT out of Ghibli's 3DCG show Ronja - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRRNrqqfMgA

A thanks to those who put effort into making cool events and puzzles - a few which immediatley come to mind is Kappaking and grez1, its cool enough to put up giveaways but to build on that takes effort and is something we're really lucky to have on SG.
Khatya is awesome - after winning one of my giveaways they commented about how they enjoyed the game after putting in a considerable amount of time into it. It was really great because it reaffirmed why I like making giveaways on this site, which is to share cool games with people who want to enjoy them. People like Khatya are the spirit of SG :3.

I'm the one who thank you for having blessed 27 hours of my time in such a great game that I'm now waiting on the next one to happen. I don't always come back and add a comment when I win, but this time felt like you gave me a hidden jewel like the janitor guiding me for an unexpected good time.
When I see your giveaways, my thought is always about how you have picked some of them and each time, would I participate or not, I hope that people thank you properly for the time you take to give them hours of fun.

Oh my. Hotel Sows looks spooky and I'm all about spooky, but Marco is a visual novel and VNs are my drug :/ But I threw in a vote for HS for your sake <3
Huge shoutout to MouseWithBeer for managing Playing Appreciated and PAGYWOSG, she's putting in some great work helping people play their won games in a fun way :D

I thank Khalaq, who is not necessarily a "flashy" user, but a very moderate moderator, and seems to have a very good taste in games (at least according to his Wishlisted games). :D
And for you Ghibli fans (my favorite is still Princess Mononoke) -- I am hoping you have also seen the Satoshi Kon animations? Like, Paprika, for example, which was a source of many ideas and scenes in "Inception"?

There are so many amazing users that I feel are worthy of mentioning: sensualshakti, MouseWithBeer, grez1, Mully and so, so many others. I feel it to be impossible to pick out an individual so I would like to thank the entire SG community as it is they that make this the amazing community that it is 💙

I like your style. Have a whitelist for it (no strings attached, I'm keeping you after you inevitably remove me after this event).
I'd like to advertise my appreciation of the fish and the drugon (not a typo) for being all-around awesome and great to talk to. I met them on a small Discord server that I joined in my early SG days and we've been among its most active members ever since. There are many other friends I made in ways that relate to SG, of course, but I kind of had to pick and two is already pushing it. :( Anyway, love you guys! <3
I am really behind on Ghibli, so I can't comment on that. Sorry.

Don't question the title.
Hey! So I haven't created a thread in what feels like years. And now that I'm quarantined and bored as shit, nows a good a time as any :D
I have twooo giveaways to giveaway here (and a third in the near future from votes, that'll also be WL-gated) (personally my vote is for Hotel Sowls, and NOT JUST BECAUSE ITD SAVE ME MONEY,, ok maybe a bit, but seriously watch that trailer look how weird and cute it is?? the vibes??), the theme for which are that theyre amazing-looking indie games that havent been given away here on SG yet. one is open to all over level 3, and the other behind a whitelist gate. Since I thought it worked really well in my last thread, I'm going to do the same thing here
To get into my super exclusive cool kids club whitelist, all you have to do is give someone a compliment on this thread. Try find something you can genuinely compliment on/something you find great about them. It can be anything from their steam profile, to their avatar, to their presence here, whatever. And I'll add you. :)
OR
Mention a forum user you are grateful for! (for anything as well, maybe a game you won from them and really liked, or a comment they left, the threads they make, their general presence... etc). That'd be great too
If you took part in the last one, and want to show appreciation to the same person, or can't think of another right now, feel free to do just that. :)
Oh! And you have to have said your thank yous in past won giveaways as well!
Not ALL--because some are said through steam I understand, and sometimes its just late, your tired and/or feeling negative, and you forget.... But I want to make sure there are a few. Because saying thank you is always the bare minimum one can do, right?
disclaimer:your whitelist may not remain after the giveaways end depending on how many enter, since I like to try keeping it somewhat small, and somehow I've gathered 239 people (really not small) on it already apparently (too many kind and great people here on SG).. So please dont do any whitelist for whitelist stuff, and hate me if you find I then cut you out after :(
Also, here's a few random (totally objectively) amazing-looking and aesthetically pleasing upcoming indie games that may or may not interest you, that I've found stalking the steam upcoming tab over the years:

And on another unrelated note, has anyone got any recommendations for Ghibli-inspired games (other than Ni No Kuni)? If not in art style, games that invoke that same sense of breezy, soft, subtly magical, innocent, young and unhurried adventure as their films do. That invoke for you the same magical feelings as these tracks...
