Hey guys,
Ive just bought a new game on steam and like always i wanted to pay via paypal. as soon as you have finished your purchase you get referred to the paypal website to checkout your game. the referring didnt work.somehow an error accured saying that the site isnt available or so. now steam says that there is still one game in the payment process.
how can i pay the game now?

ive also already opened a support ticket but maybe one of you guys already had that problem and knows a solution.

Solution no. 1: NEVER buy through the client as it fails a LOT of times. ALWAYS buy through a browser(Steam support will tell you that too - they told me at least).
Solution no. 2: Contact Steam support and wait for an answer(in your case just wait).
Solution no. 3: If they don't help then create a dispute on the transaction and tell the issue and hopefully PayPal will refund you :)

Good luck!

Personally I always purchase through the client and haven't had an issue ever

Paypal is really the weakest link here. I'd stick with a cc rather than use Paypal

Steam support told me to use the client and NEVER use the browser. This was due to authentication reasons esp when using new credit cards or payment services (e.g. Paypal)

Seeing everyone talking about problems with buying through the client is quite a shock to me. I've only made purchases through the client, and I've never had any trouble at all. Of course, I use a debit card, so maybe that has something to do with it. Weird.

Buying with a credit/debit card on Steam does not have any issues. Opening an external transaction does and Steam fails a lot of times because it doesn't handle external transactions in the client very well. If Steam Support points it out to buy in a browser, there is a reason to it.

Every time I get an error (503 unavailable I think) I just hit the "back" button on my mouse and try again and it works. Debit card through steam browser.
