The giveaway has ended. Bellow is the original post(solutions at the end of the post):

Hello all again! Here is the real puzzle I was talking about from my last "puzzle" giveaway. I hope you manage to solve it :) All needed clues are in the puzzle. I will give out more clear clues 1 day before the giveaway ends. The giveaway is already available and will last until the 25th 2PM(GMT+1).
Before I let you get solving I wish you all GOOD LUCK!

I went on a walk through the forest when suddenly I saw a bottle with a piece of paper in it. There were some random letters on it and I just left the paper on the ground. I continued to walk onward when I suddenly thought: "What if this is a treasure hunt?".
I ran back to get the paper and I read what it said on it: "u Ush srhhhpvs rhrsbi cbopo icrpt vvxizueum; v Qehl hav snzxd fyn ckvpz!" .
I thankfully had my Phone with me. When I opened it, it gave me an Error. I Shut it down and started it up again. It worked now. I didn't know what decoder to use so I started them up by alphabet and quickly found out which decoder was needed!
The message was interesting and kept me going on. So I took the paper with me and continued to walk when I found another bottle with a piece of paper.
I opened this one as well and on the paper I saw the following: "- .... . / .-.. ..- -.-. -.- -.-- / -. ..- -- -... . .-. / .. ... / ....." . I started up a decoder again and decoded the message. I then walked on and Played some Relaxing music when I suddenly stumbled on yet another bottle with a paper.
I opened it and saw the following symbols on it. Then I started up another decoding program and decoded the message.
I felt that there are more clues to be found so I kept on going while listening to my music. After 20 minutes of walking I finally saw another bottle.
This one said the following: "You have done well my apprentice. Continue to walk dOWN and collect your well earned reward using the clues from my previous bottles. Your journey ends here........for now."

Solved it? :)

Cheers,
Pur3Bolt

Here is a template of the giveaway URL(there are upper case, lower case letters and numbers): http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/xxxxx

PS: Solution:
-The first clue was cripted using a cipher called Bifid. The keywords used for the alphabet key had the first letter capitalised(Phone, Error, Shut). The alphabet key made from them would be: PHONERSUTABCDFGIJKLMQVWXYZ. The decrypted message came out: a Bad treasure hunter never stops searching; a Good one finds the prize! SOLUTION: BG
-Second text was encoded using Morse code. The decrypted message is: The lucky number is 5. SOLUTION: 5
-Third text was encoded using Substitution->Bionicle images and an alphabet key. The alphabet key could be found with 2 keywords which has the first letter capitalised(Played, Relaxing). The alphabet key came out as: PLAYEDRXINGBCFHJKMOQSTUVWZ. The decrypted text came out as "I WILL NEED LUCK". SOLUTION: L
-Last text has just a lower-upper case word which standed out by itself and the not capitalised letter was the solution(dOWN). SOLUTION: d
-The URL came out with these characters: BG5Ld

I think I solved it by trial and error, but I don't like what I'm reading.

Incidentally, I found this in my searching (look at page 24), but it's no help at all. It's also almost certainly not where I've seen it before.

Good reading but I think the solution will be more simple... :-)

Permalink

Yeah, in the end, I just broke it like a cryptogram (unless I got it wrong, of course).

Double letters and short words are your friends.

Can U just tell, if 3rd puzzle contains only one character?

If you mean it has just one letter/number in the URL hidden, then yes. The character does not appear in the actual clue, however (unless I reached the wrong answer, of course).

Seriously, why does nobody tell which game the givaway is for? If I solved this puzzle and just got some game I have no interest in or can't afford, I'm not going to have enjoyed the experience, I'm going to feel cheated and bitter.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, no one has to give anything in the first place, you know. And puzzles like this, in addition to improving the odds for the entrants, are meant to be an additional source of enjoyment as well, and someone actually put the work in to make them for us. This is meant to be more for people who enjoy puzzles. If you're only doing it for the giveaway, you've kinda missed the point, really.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't tell what's given away because people simply don't want to try and solve it if they already have the prize. So everything is a mistery until you will solve it or if someone else will tell you if you want/have the prize.
And why do you feel cheated? Do it for fun....

As I said in a comment above: puzzle from the first bottle has nothing to do with any puzzle in bottle 2,3 or 4. You just didn't use the right alphabet key(yes, you can find it in the text) :) Good luck!

Comment has been collapsed.

+1
I already solved the 3rd, it was piece a cake once I found out it's gonna have to be done in 2 steps. Then I proceeded to the 1st, but I can't find any combination of those 3 keywords that would make any sense.
The existence of "...hhh..." and the lack of any double-letter really bugs me, this can't be encoded by simple "Keyed Caesar".
I believe there is some sort of shuffle involved. Can you confirm at least that? :)
Or maybe the mapping is not 1:1, same letters do not map to one particular letter all the time... How about that? :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It isn't a letter changer, nothing like ROT if you want it that way. The coder I used has a name that starts with the letter B. There are no tripple letters in the actual solution. Hope that's clear enough. Just bruteforce it if you really can't get to it :P

Solutions will be available after the giveaway ends anyway :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Aahh, finally got that!
Last night I already knew that a cipher with the name near the beginning of the alphabet was used. But I guess I missed the 3rd keyword, therefore got only some gibberish.

So now heading to crack the meaning of those messages. See you on the other side :)
