I just started doing a bunch of giveaways for a large variety of games.

I've been doing level 1 requirements as I don't want a level 0 to get a key and not leave feedback. What do you think?

Above 4

I believe "Above 4" option will win xd

Even on high levels you will find winners that will take your game without single word and run away :O

I believe 1 is pretty fair since the amount of lvl 0 users in % is pretty big, then there are more clever people that goes to level 1 with a single giveaway to access those giveaways, lately I've been doing giveaways of whitelists and groups since my whitelist and group numbers are pretty big so I hardly put requirements on those, if I had to do more giveaways to the public I would upgrade the level according to the quality of the giveaway, starting with a minimum of level 1. But I choose above 4 (for publics) since I know that getting lvl 4 takes nothing nowadays and that means a little bit of sharing is caring and we care about sharing back and stuff.

at least 3. Literally any game that isnt free gets you to level 1, no problem for the bots.

Yeah I'm thinking 2 or 3 will probably be what I do from now on.

Zero. Why shut out anyone? Thinking that the users are better just because they threw some money at the site is a wrong track, there are small differences between no and high levels.

While I don't want to shut out anyone, there is a large amount of bots who will instantly enter giveaways.

Even at level 1, I notice there's ~80+ automatic entries.

You also want people who enter giveaways to possibly contribute in the future.

If you want to shut out bots, levels are a completely wrong direction to take. Level 8+ is among the most infested in terms of percentage of bot users. If you want to weed out bots, then I would suggest puzzles or self-made captchas over private giveaways protected by SGtools. Or a self-curated and monitored Steam group/whitelist of individually selected users. (Which just turns the whole gifting business to insider trading, but achieves the original goal.)

But other than that, you cannot shut out bots. Not with anything public.

You can still block out a lot of them by not having it level 1 or even 0. Just putting it to 0 because "They're everywhere regardless" doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Probably level 2 is the best compromise between being fair to most of the community, and avoiding most of the bot leeches. :)

I would say it also depends if the GAs are invite only, public,or group. If public, 3 or 4 is fine.

I think it depends on the giveaway... I haven't had any problems with L0 giveaways yet though, and it's not like level determines how grateful someone will be. Heck, the number of L6+ people who won a game from me and have never said thanks for any games they've won is pretty appalling :|
