why the hell is Glados in the Pacific Rim movie

Valve said GdT is their first choice for someone to direct an adaptation, I don't believe he's ever said anything on the topic. Where did you see that? The guy is fucking brilliant, without question one of my 3 favourite directors.

Guillermo del Toro is brilliant director! I never believed that I will say this, I'm big fan of Lord of the Rings movies, but after I watched Hellboy 2 and Pan's Labyrinth I'm sad because he did not direct Hobbit movies.

no, it would be more akin to asking why harrison ford played han solo in the indiana jones movies... if he had done so. because elain whateverhername is clearly mimicking her role as glados, not voiceacting as another character. its the same char or as close as it gets to being so.

Lol, I watched the first few seconds of this trailer a while ago and saw a giant beast and decided to close it because I thought it would be dumb. Now that I know GLaDOS is in the movie... I think this might be the best thing ever.
