I had added Dexter: Original Sin to my watchlist a long time ago in case I might want to see it in the future. Now I feel like I should see it before Resurrection, even though its a prequel.

What was the first episode of Dexter: Resurrection like? Is the tone of the show similar to New Blood? I hated New Blood because it was sooo serious. It was a pure drama. It had none of the fun, humor, or campiness of season 1 & 2 of the original Dexter which I loved. The trailer looks interesting. It looks like it's going in a different direction than New Blood, with some humor or absurdity. But I wonder if they're just kicking a dead horse now.

I like it, because it's true to Dexter but i don't differentiate it much with New Blood that i missed humor in it.
Without spoiling too much the first episode showed some old familar faces.
A murder has been commited, they find the body and the police investigator is playing Staying Alive in her ears.
And they used several songs in the episode that could be seen as a joke.
The whole idea of putting Dexter in a house with other murderers and having Peter Dinklage sounds intriguing.
