Are they really useful at this point?
They are posted on half of the forums for free and traded on the other half. And the site is more crowded than a Chinese city now. Most of the users will never win a game at all. So there is no real "flood gates" on the site it's just an illusion. With each addition to the members the points distributed increase.

I think we need a better solution to this numbers, and before that clear some points like why this site is founded and what is it that people are doing here. Because everyone have a different idea, some says it's about altruism or it's giving games to those who can't afford, others say it's about getting developers and like to promote and giveaway games here. On the other side some people say it's about receiving free games and you should be grateful for even the smallest chance of getting free games, while others think that receiving a game at the end of a giveaway is a rule not a privilege.

Well, we need to settle these points and create some chance of wining and stop turning the site into a daily clicking until you have no points.

It would be kinda nice if the site had some kind of mission statement.

There is supposed to be some kind of liability on the part of the inviter for all the people they invite, but I don't really think it's actually enforced.

I too think the inviter needs to be responsible of the invited. Otherwise it's like filling strangers to a birthday party you were invited.

I don't think public giveaways are really the point of this site, it is meant for private/group giveaways, why would you give something away to strangers when you can give it to a community that you identify with and consider yourself a part of?
