Now you dont get Conan or Killing Floor 2 cause Epic DID IT AGAIN.

Kinda shame Conan Exiles was pulled from free weekend, would be cool to have it. At least future games are lookin bright.

It's still the point. I see many spoiled guys saying "epic shit, epic don't give free gaem" , when sometimes for whatever reason they can't put a game for free. See what happened with The Escapits 2, they ended up putting it for next week because they couldn't release it for free last time. This time however they stated they aren't going to put it for free.
Imagine this: a supermarket hypes up a week ahead giving free samples of Monster cans. The same day they decided to just not do it for whatever reason (like for example the logistics couldn't make it possible in time), would you be that fucking mad for a free monster?

nah no one talks about who has the right . we talk about how they lies to us :| they shouldnt have done that . dont give it . why annonce it for next week then change it ? its about trust no rights otherwise your right

nah what is this then
The Epic Games Store team has decided that Conan Exiles will not be free, but will be available for purchase on the store at a later date.
they didnt said that before for ark and i`m pretty sure they will never give it away

I mean, it was 99% the publisher who wasn't happy anymore with the deal and asked for more money.
There is no other option for that.

Lies would mean:
They added the game with the thought to not give it away.
Do you really think that this was the case here?
That they use Conan, a game that is not that good at all, to fool all the gamers?
If so this would be a bad evil plan. I mean if they decide to "not give away a game but name it before" why don't they add Cyberpunk or Red Dead Redemption 2 or even Borderlands 3? Why would they choose a game with only ~7000 players that was bundled once.
Seeing a free weekend on steam and a 60% discount I would more blame Funcom because they prob. just used this as an advertisement for their game.

It's not about free game. It's about trust, as it was pointed out earlier. OK, I'll explain.
They could announce "Mystery Game" as earlier, but they prefer to announce exact game. And violated the trust (not the first time, actually). May be it's just someone's fail. May be their marketers do believe there's no such thing as bad publicity. Doesn't matter.
The catch is: the whole business model of Steam-like DRM store platforms is build upon users trust. As of ToS they sell nothing but promise you can use all you pay for. Just promise, nothing more. They can kick any user without any refund (although sooner or later laws which prohibit such behavior hopefully will emerge):
We may withdraw or amend the Services, and any related service or content, or restrict access (including by means of cancellation, termination, or modification, or suspension of a user account) to all or certain users (including you) without notice and without liability to you in our reasonable discretion.
So users just trust service will behave nice. Not the best place for trust violation.

Still, if the developers decided to not give away the game for free, Epic can't do a shit here. I would rather value their trust in terms of PAID services rather than in a single giveaway, but that's just my opinion. I get it's frustrating for people who wanted it but I see no big reason to cry about it.

In some imaginary world - possibly. In real world there's a contract, which effectively limits your decisions after the agreement created. So if you don't have contract for marketing action giveaway - you just keep your mouth shut. If you do - you can force your partner to follow agreement.

Despite the fact that paid service and marketing action performed by the same entity? Like "he killed several people, but what a good mayor he was"?

I personally don't give a shoot for this giveaway if game would come without all DLCs (which is the most likely), because bare game costs less than 30% of Complete Edition Bundle. No worries at all.

If you grab it on Epic Game Store, there's no skin item will drop it to you
If you grab it on Steam, skin item and case will open and you can sell it on community market

Just a question between these multiplayer games across several DRM. I have this on Steam and I may wanna play this with my girlfriend. Will she be able to play the same title with me using another DRM? Of course... Considering these titles don't have an extra validation/login like e-mail/username, is it possible?
