Yes. The only thing stopping it appear on the Steam store is some stupid contract between Ubisoft and some other unnamed retail/digital distribution magnate.

It's available in all other regions, so it can be gifted. I'm not aware of any region locking going on either.

I would assume if you can activate it you should be able to play it.

People in the UK that bought the game previous to this should still be able to play so it would make sense.

apparentyly ubisoft are releasing far cry 3 and assassins creed 3 in the uk on the 5th of december so you can wait until then to try.
