What if you win after a reroll but by then you got the game from someone else?

This never happened to me, but I'm curious.

Picture this situation:

  • user A enters a certain number of giveaways for a certain game
  • wins none
  • user A gets the game on his own (purchase or trade)
  • one of those giveways gets rerolled

What happens at that point? Can user A win (with the risk of becoming an involuntary rulebreaker) or is he automatically excluded during the reroll (like, the system automatically sees he's not eligible anymore)?

Ooh I see, yeah that seems like the best course of action

I wasn't 100% sure about how it worked. Basically reading about people that say they have accidental multiple wins had instilled the doubt that sometimes you kinda can't do anything about it...

It seems silly now, thanks for clarifying ^^

He's not excluded, you just keep rerolling until you get a valid and eligible winner, but it's up to you (and the winner, if they are honest) to identify this situation every time.
