I don't like mystery bundles either, but you seem so hellbent in thinking that Fanatical will eventually start including mystery keys in their regular bundles... I don't think they will. This, having the possibility to include one mystery key in a BYOB is imho as far as they will go. I'd like to think they'll give people the choice to add or pass on a mystery key, not force them into buying one or more in their normal bundles. Now, whether you or I are right, only time will tell. But I'd rather give them the benefit of the doubt.
That said... I guess I'm going to play the Devil's advocate here, but I kinda see a purpose in having the choice to get a mystery key in a build your own bundle: If you're not interested in enough games to purchase one of the packs, you can fill the remaining slots with mystery keys. I suppose that for some people, it's a better outcome than selecting games they do not want. And if they're lucky, maybe they'll get something good out of it. Most likely not. But maybe.

I mean they started with 1 mystery bundle every few months,then went to 1 mystery bundle EVERY month & now we are at a point where they have multiple of those almost EVERY single month

Sorry, I was on the go, so didn't really want to make a longer comment. That is true, that it has the "first one is free, and you know where to find us for more" feel to it.
(At least helps a bit, how insanely repetitive and honestly, bad their random selection is.Not to excuse the existence of the random bundles)

keyword is "grab bag". Though they really got some nice games for some bundles' grab bags (along with some meh ones) - Primordia, La-Mulana, Sora, ENIGMA:, A Golden Wake - when these games were not available in other bundles, and usually operated with a small variety. While Fanatical gives some pretty good games as randoms, they are the same 30-40? games remixed for months, maybe years by this point - maybe that keeps some gamblers away :)

Oh they got away with that. The random stuff was mostly better quality than the actual bundles. It's not the grab bags' fault that they repeatedly fucked up Be Mine bundle deliveries, and constantly undermining their own trustworthiness.
Controversial it may be, the grab bags were the best thing groupees could produce in their last 1-2 years of game bundles :( (though fuck their bundle preorder system, while started out okay, turned into hot shit)

The flame in the flood was honestly a pretty decent game. It definitely had design problems. But once you figure out how to survive and do things in the game, it becomes a pretty fun trip across post-apocalypse america.

Was able to piece together 9 I was missing + 1 gamble.
Hope fanatical continues this by giving us 2 or 3 Mystery games to fill our 10 choice baskets with going forward.

Ok as someone who's played a lot of these games in this bundle. 5 bucks for this bundle is a borderline illegal purchase.
Buy them for yourself, buy them as gifts for someone; all i'm saying is it's 100% worth the money.
