Ever experienced dorm life?
I guess we don't have such thing in my country, like, a dorm within the campus area, I used to go to the university from home.

I didn't go to college until I was 22. I stayed in the dorm the first year and a half and I sort of "lucked" out and didn't have a room mate. The first year my assigned room mate didn't show up. You have to pay extra if you want a private room, so I went to the housing office to get assigned a new room mate. Apparently I was the odd man on campus because there wasn't one available. I was on the list for a room mate, but never got one and I still had to pay the single room fee even though I didn't want one. The next year, my assigned room mate did show up. I wasn't able to be there on the first check-in day, and when I did get there I found he moved all of his crap in, moved the extra bed out and took over the room. I was told wasn't taking classes until the 2nd semester but still was allowed to get a room and move in during the first semester. Apparently he wanted a private room because one day I come in to find all of his stuff gone and I had the place to myself, and again I got stuck paying a single-room fee because it was so late in the year there were no available room mates.
I got an "apartment" after that because it was cheaper than the what they were charging to live in the crappy dorms. I say "apartment" because it was really someone's garage converted into a single-room apartment. It was nice though.

I dormed for all 4 years of school. Freshman year I had a single room which was about as large as a prison cell. (My high school went on a field trip to prison, so I can speak from experience!)
The rest of the time I had an on campus suite. It was basically a 3/4 room apartment in a dorm building. They had two styles, ones with 2 singles and a double, or two doubles. For Junior and Senior year we had the former so it was basically like having an apartment with roommates.
I do occasionally miss the dorms... Its a lot less work than an apartment or a house...
And I forgot where I was going with this... So I'll just post.

Lived in a dorm for one year and was in charge of two different dorm floors for a year each. Being able to walk to class/events was a big deal for me (even though I could drive, I hated spending money on gas), plus working the dorms allowed me to stay for free.

Only for two months aswell, too crowded for my asocial and "Ihatethemall" personality. Prefered an apartment with 1-2 roommates even if it was moldy and really small.
