What if I want to gift my win to someone else? Is that prohibited too? I mean, I enter some of these giveaways because I want to "pay back" for gifts they have sent me and I'd get no financial benefit from it whatsoever.

It is not ok, an you should definitely contact support if that happens. People are only supposed to enter giveaways for games they intend to play themselves and are required to activate any wins within one week or face suspension.
