What's the best way to use my Google Play Store Credit which doesn't involve spending it on:

  • mobile games
  • any kind of subscription based service/app

Looking for ways to transfer it to my PayPal account, use it on Steam, give it to charity or if really there is no other use, one time purchase lifechanging apps...
Thanks in advance!

Cloud storage.

I personally use Google credits for things like AllTrails though.

Check out LootBoy:

https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/rSWOI/lootboy-codes-for-coinsdiamonds-lootboy-may-close-down-soon

For 15 € you can get 10 packs, content varies based on pack but every "losing ticket" is usually a random Steam key and they aren't all bad. They also used to have Spec Ops in their key pool. In rare occurences the key you get from a pack is for GOG, but that's mostly Daedelic games afaik. If you choose the Steam pack, you have a chance of getting a key for a Steam gift card of various amounts. There are also Google Play packs so you could be stuck in an infinite loop.

It's definitely gambling if you buy the packs (you can earn them via app things as well), but every pack has a key guaranteed and 95% of them are for Steam. As far as my personal experience goes, there's probably a good key every 50 packs. My best pull was a 100 € Nintendo eShop gift card, but that's after many years and thousands of packs. If you noticed the URL also says something about closing down so I don't even know how their price pool looks like these days. But they definitely still have keys in there.

I'm usually against this kind of stuff, but this credit has been rotting on my account for so long now, I'll probably just end up spending it on these Steam Packs

I was going to mention lootboy as well, but I would go for monthly subscription (5€ month).
In addition to that, and before paying for that subscription, you would need to get 850 diamonds to get 75 cheatcoins. Having 80 of those you get 5€ steam, 5€ Amazon.

This method requires more work, to get the diamonds, about 12 a day.
There is a topic on lootboy web on Steamgifts. We could help you there if you need more information.

If you are into gaming and steam, I would check for cross-save/progress games

There used to be services to transfer the credit, but, most of those either closed down or had to do changes due to Google policy. I'm afraid, you'll most likely have to spend them on apps, books or movies. If you like reading, you could always get Moon+ Reader Pro.

If you are into roguelikes, I would suggest your checking "Dungreed". I own it on android but haven't played it yet. I just think looks way better than other android games (It's originally a game for PC), I would suggest you to see some gameplay videos on youtube, you may like it too.

I play Hearthstone on PC, but use Google play credits I get from the Google Opinion Rewards app to purchase packs. Might be an option for you.

I can recommend a game called "Pine Tar Poker"
It's like a mixture of Yahtzee and Poker, and very interesting!

I use my Google Play credits to subscribe to a couple Youtube channels for membership perks.
