Kickin' it old school with the GBC there. I still have my GBC and Pokemon Blue at 24 years of age. I haven't played it in years but it has its place.

Definitely going for Pokemon, they still have that RPG game spirit even though the creatures are getting more strange. It kind of depends which games from both of the series we're talking about.

http://www.smogon.com/ Pokemon has way more depth that some copy-paste game that gets released every year with shi'load of dlc's and premium paid services that should be free. I'm not going to talk about the community of r's that use to play cod/bf/whateveryouwant games

The games not being realistic is a fairly stupid argument that detracts from the many many many good reasons to not get Call of Duty though.
