If I attempt to log in on the steam website, it allows me to get to the point when I put in the recovery code starting with R, which I have, but after I put it in it says " Sorry! There was an error encountered while processing your request. There was a problem communicating with the Steam servers. Please try again later." I tried again later but still no luck. Is there anyway to fix this issue? I know for sure that the recovery code is correct. I searched on Google but no solutions. Can anyone here help me? Thanks.

R + 5 digits, right?
maybe try again tomorrow. i assume that an incorrect code will give you another message, not "There was an error encountered while processing your request".

Do you have any of the other codes that you printed out or saved or only the master recovery code? I assume you lost your phone?

Also, have you closed and restarted Steam since this started happening or rebooted your computer?

I have rebooted my computer. And the code that I have with me is the recovery code not the regular log in codes.

What country are you in? Maybe their servers in certain regions are having problems, and have yet to be fixed.

Also, maybe reboot your router and modem, and make sure that any outgoing firewall isn't blocking Steam.

Was finally able to get it to work. If you ever need to remove your mobile authenticator you have to remove it at this website: https://help.steampowered.com/#HelpWithLoginInfo?nav=authenticator

You can't remove it by simply logging into the steam website. Hope this helps anyone who needs help.
