they often include dlcs

I believe they include all/some DLC stuffs or special item or such. Not sure though, never bother to buy one.

GOTY editions generally include all of the previously released DLC for a game :)

I don't believe they cost more :S Not if you buy them from physical retailers at least.

If you saw any that are more expensive and don't include dlcs, then probably it's just a tax for being gullible.

Normally they release to replace the original game and they always release with ALL of the DLCs.
