HexLands: A medieval Roguelike City Builder

Hi guys!

Here I am again, ready to show you some progress! :)
I've been wanting to make a city builder for a long time, so here it is! This means that I had to slow down the progress on my ARPG, but it seems like it's worth it! :)

HexLands is a turn-based, roguelike city builder, set on peaceful, procedural medieval islands, ready to be settled!
Colonise as many islands as possible, as they are getting less and less habitable!
Manage your resources, complete quests, use special tools and synergize perks!
How far will your empire reach?

wow this looks really great - i love board games of any type and this looks right up my ally - i gave the trailer a like and can't wait to see what is upcoming for this game - did you make this by yourself? My son has a small Steam group and i would love to be able to help you promote the game when you are ready (for free of course i wouldn't even ask for any keys) i just think this is going to be a great game

Thanks! You just made me add "Board Game" as a Steam tag, because you are soo right! How could I miss this tag. :O
Then stay tuned, because I plan to make the Steam page live this weekend! :) Can't wait to make devlogs about the recent progress!
Yes, I'm making this on my own, after I get home from my dayjob. But luckily my girlfriend has to study a lot, so I have free time! :D
Woah, that's amazing to hear! I would be more than happy to accept your (and I guess your son's) promotion, that's so nice of you!
I guess once the Steam page is ready, we could organise a little giveaway on gleam.io or something. How does that sound?
I've added you on Steam, because this discussion will be closed until the page is ready. (as someone gave me a very good advice below :D )

My friend, this looks really cool! And since I saw that you removed an element of the Islanders that upset me, I will definitely try it. :)

The idea sounds great, graphics seem decent enough.
But it wasn't a very smart move to promote your game before you have a Steam page ready, you are wasting precious attention that might have turned into wishlist entries.

Oh, yes, indeed. How foolish I was. I thought that I could just update the post and then bump it so people will see it again. But lots of people wouldn't click it again, thus a lost wishlist. :( I guess now all I can do is to update the title with "now on Steam!" once the page is up.

Or better: I'll just close it, so it will sink in the discussions and save what's left from the possible wishlisters. :D
