So, at some point I signed up for a beta, and just got an email about it.
It's A .. pay to spawn infinite battle royale with earnings per kill .. Not sure how to think or feel about this..

[some TL;DR bits from article]
"BRAVO READY's flagship AAA game, BR1: INFINITE is the world's first risk-based shooter where gamers pay to spawn and kill to earn. For every player you kill, earn the greater of 10% of a player's bank or their spawn fee, all paid for and measured in USD."
... "BR1: INFINITE uses a pay to spawn and kill to earn model. In the $1 game mode, a player will pay $1 to spawn into our game. As they eliminate their opponents they will earn the greater of the spawn fee or 10% of their opponent’s accumulated earnings. For example, if Player 1 kills 20 enemies and earns $1 for each kill, they will have $20 on their balance for those kills. When Player 2 kills Player 1, they will receive 10% of Player 1’s earnings or $2 in this case. Upon elimination, players will retain a percentage of their earnings based upon which character they are using."
... "gamers can try to “Exit through Survival”. In the top right corner of your screen, under your denominated earnings, you can see your Survival clock. It comes in the form of a short blue bar that fills over 10 minutes. To survive a player must remain still and not take damage for the entirety of the countdown. The countdown will reset if a player moves or takes any damage."

Really?! Standing still for 10 minutes? In a shooter?! C'mon!

You may have misunderstood! The survival bar fills up in a span of 10 minutes (if you can live that long), once it is full, you can either continue fighting until you're ultimately eliminated, or you can try to find a safe place to stand completely still and not take any damage. Once you feel like you're safe, you can hit the Survive button on your keyboard (currently F10) and a 30 second countdown will show up on your screen. If you can stay still and take no damage for those 30 seconds, you'll "Survive" and earn slightly more of a percentage than if you were to be eliminated. Hope I cleared that up.

I got into beta, but haven't downloaded it yet. Not sure how much $ it starts me with either for beta, but it does say that I can keep what I earn. That whole 10 mins to exit though. You can earn $1 or $100 and still have to survive to exit, without moving. I assume you can't even look around to check surroundings.
Oh, I just discovered you can also pay to "rent" bots too..
"Rent one of the 2500 Ape or 7500 Droid Operatives to shoot and loot your way to victory."
Default is:
Floor price 0.003 ◎ / day
Listed 38
There's tons to pick from, and they last from less than a day to 6 days from what I saw.
https://rent.br1game.com/
So far it says 0 rented.

Every player that signs up receives $0.50 in their BR1 account, on us, since we have not enabled deposits yet. We're giving you money that you can possibly earn more from. We already have many players who have reached the withdrawal minimum and have gotten their requested funds! Why enable deposits when I can just keep giving free money to users?

i told you i don't care and i thought it cost $1 to play so 0.50 isn't even enough is it?

So lets see if I understand this correctly:
All pays $1 to start a cash game, winner takes all - but not really because the round never ends.
To "win" you need to stand still for 10 min without taking any damage - that will give you your payout and increased earning next time you join. But to stand still for that long you need protection, so you rent the bots to do that.

I see this "game" becoming a bot fest, where high level players (and this will really only be the ones that go serious first, at game launch, no-one else will have a serious shot after that without paying through their nose for bots.) prey on new players that try out the game, and these new players will be absolutely crushed online, and have their money taken away from them, so not very likely to return to play. So it needs a constant influx of new players to satisfy high level players. Which really means, this isn't a game at all, it's a digital pyramid scheme, -ish.

Sounds just like all that to me too. And there's a set number of bots, so those on top will continue to rent them, or at least the good ones, and leave nothing else to even rent. Also no mention at all of weapons or anything about the actual combat. The controls, the movement, sure.

Yeah, it's a resounding "NO" from me.
Dont' think I have ever seen such an openly abusive "game"-system before, people like this are usually more sneaky with their bullshit.
However, that doesn't mean the last idiot has been born yet. They might just get away with it if people don't react strong enough on this.

Let me clarify. There are no such "winner takes all" mechanics in BR1 like your typical Battle Royale. You, and every other player in the session pay the same spawn fee, and for every player you eliminate, you receive their spawn fee (minus the service fee that BRAVO READY takes). If you play with your own Operative, that service fee decreases, thus you earn more per elimination.

As for your concern about the whole "stand still for 10 minutes" issue, you may have just misunderstood our survival function. I'd suggest reading my comment to you above regarding that.

THERE ARE NO BOTS. Players who rent an Operative (Ape or Droid) do so to increase their earnings retention. You can buy Droids or Apes, or you can rent them if you can't afford to purchase your own. Droids are playable just like Apes are. There are no NPCs in BR1.

To touch on your concern about high level players taking control of BR1, we have different game modes. Free-for-All, where players can play for free and practice before putting any money on the line, and then our risk-modes which will range from $0.10 - $10.00 per spawn. (Only $0.10 and $1.00 are currently available).

BR1: INFINITE funnels the best players to the center of the map, where there will be better loot and naturally, more money to be made. The players at the center cannot move back towards the edge where new players just spawned.

Feel free to ask any questions!

You can definitely look around LOL Give my comment above a ready, and you may understand the "Survival" function a bit better. Regardless if you are eliminated or if you survive, you earn what you killed!

Also players wouldn't be renting "bots". They'd be renting a playable Operative if they can't afford one for themselves, but want the earnings retention bonus. NO BOTS lol

Wow and UGH crypto wallet needed..
Player earnings are measured in $USD, and can be seen transparently through our public leaderboard. All earnings are transacted in $USDC on the Solana or Ethereum blockchain, and can easily be withdrawn to your personal wallet of choice.

No crypto wallet will be needed to deposit / withdraw funds to and from your BR1 account. Deposits are currently disabled because we are funding players' accounts during beta, and CURRENTLY, you can withdraw to a Solana wallet with USDC-SPL, but this is temporary. Debit, Credit, and other methods can be added in the future, as we develop.

With about 40% of cheaters in the most popular fps in the world, aka CSGO, who can do nothing to stop them apparently, my guess is if money is involved to earn, these guys wont be able to do anything either or rather they'll do less than nothing. You're gonna pay to spawn, lose your money, meanwhile some hacker in some obscure country transfers their funds out daily, weekly, monthly, whatever, eventually the cheater gets banned maybe and they just make a new acc, but that doesn't get you your money back and all meanwhile the company probably takes a 1% fee on every single kill in the game just banking left and right on anyone not giving a damn.

You basically pay money to have a 60% chance to run into a legitimate player. You almost have a 50/50 chance you toss a coin and just throw your money in the trash. Only afterwards, assuming you got the right side of the coin, can you actually try and get a kill or two, along with all try hards who will be doing this and assuming you won one fight, your next one is just another coin flip at 50/50. Ridiculous. Then consider all the try hards looking every single second of their life to exploit a system for things like, aim assist by faking a controller and using m&k, gpu exploits granting things like wallhacks, lag switching so you can't hit them, people teaming up and farming, etc.

You also gotta consider hardware, while I imagine someone on poorer hardware should know better than to even try to play something like this, we know since this is about money making, it's people who have less that will be most interested, but people who have better hardware are guaranteed to have some sort of advantage, by having higher fps, better monitor response times, better mice and keyboards, nvmes, etc. While these are minor, they do add up. Not that I was ever going to play this, but this system is designed to prey on the poorer gamers, which is what I find incredibly toxic and evil.

Like even if you don't count rage hacking, spin botting, wallhacks, aimbots, soft aims, closet cheaters, you're absolutely fucked in an fps nowadays if you are a legitimate player. It's not even worth it. Play a bit of whatever to get it out of your system ,but don't waste your time and don't expect anything.

Once they require some sort of valid id and use verification and bans are permanent across multiple online games and platforms, I'd say this could be viable, but this isn't close to viable atm. Good luck to them getting permissions to ask for an identification number like a social.

On cheaters in FPS's, this is a really interesting watch on what is coming to combat cheaters.
Yeah, it's 16 minutes, quite a hefty watch, but it is really worth it.

This sounds really interesting from the point of the idea, it's a unique gimmick.

It's pretty horrible and I seriously doubt many people would be interested in this (maybe streamers throwing big bucks at it, or idk, a party of friends playing between themselves to see who gets the most money) but it sounds convoluted, and the game ought to take a cut to make it viable.

Even more incentives for players to cheat is exactly what gaming needs.
But hey, I guess the potential to attract players with all that nonsense shouldn't be underestimated.

To answer the OP, we are now in open beta so anyone can go to our website and download the game. BR1: INFINITE's Pay to Spawn and Kill to Earn mechanics are very simple. Each player pays a spawn fee in their chosen risk-mode, and for every elimination, they receive their opponent's spawn fee, less a service fee that BRAVO READY takes. Keep in mind, all funds are in USD!

I see you also mentioned our Operatives, so let me touch on that. You do NOT need an Operative to play BR1: INFINITE. That being said, if you own an Operative, you will be granted an earnings retention bonus and the ability to play as your in-game character skin.
