Yeah, so I'm looking at a(ny) game from the newest indie bundle. The top comments are telling people the giveaway is against the rules.
And a hundred people have entered the giveaway since the comments were posted. Can't they read? Do they just blindly click anything labeled "join"? Do they gamble and hope they'll win the giveaway before the mods delete it?

They probably don't know there is a description nor a comment section.

Or simply think people who say it's fake/against the rules are lying to keep their chances high. Yes, fuck humanity.

Either they don't understand English or they simply ignore everything. I don't think they read the rules as well. EVER!

They simply ignore every details the giveaway have, as long as they want it, they enter it. They do not read descriptions, comments, whatsoever, all they do are enter giveaways and maybe post thanks.

Sucks that not much people are actually active in forum.

to be honest, there's no reason for them to read the description. If it's fake, it gets deleted and points are refunded. If it's not, they get a chance at winning a game. Win-Win for illiteracy.
Well, except for me, as I tend to foam at the mouth a little when I see people creating/entering obviously against-the-rules giveaways

There are also special circumstances when a giveaway has requirement. Hence, the need to read.

Nothing forces people who join to read the rules. Most people would never go to the forum since they have no reason to. The site makes it very easy to join and enter giveaways, and if that's all you're interested in, you won't know any better. Not that putting the text in a visible place would help, because yes, most people ignore most of what's written. You know anyone who reads EULA's?

It's not exactly fair to compare EULA with one large red blinking line of text right in the middle of the screen, telling you to read FAQ and follow the rules (which is not there, but might be :) )

I did once. Didn't like what I saw. Clicked anyway because, as a PC gamer, I have very little proven rights to return a game if I don't agree with the EULA.

I actually read forum rules before posting significantly.

I also try to read EULAs, but I can pretty much guess at most of their content nowadays from having read some of them.

EULAs suck. Why do they exist for software but not for, like, everyday items?

I'd suggest to always remove those bundle games from the list of gifts temporarily.
(Was there such a suggestion before? I'm quite new to this community...)

There probably has been, and I would imagine the consensus was it's not worth inconviencing the people who bought a gift copy of the game.

But it seems to me that you are not allowed to give away even gifts of a game that's in a bundle at the time.
The rules do not specify this in much detail, but I saw one giveaway of a bundle game, the author stated that it was a gift, but the giveaway still got deleted after a while.

Last I checked, you're allowed giftable copies, but not keys while a bundle's on. Could be something else was wrong with that giveaway.

I don't think you're allowed to gift giftable copies while the bundle's still going.
