Where am I able to see whether my gift copy is a cut version or not?

When I open the store page of Half Life 2 it says "Note: Cut version" in my country. As I got a gift copy of Half Life 2 in my inventory I wonder if its the cut version, too?
Do I have to region restrict any giveaway related to it? I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance! :)

Difficult to say. Usually the SteamDB helps here. Sometimes the app ID between the usual and the cut versions differ. Sometimes you can notice it in the additional information.

The first problem here is that the app ID from your linked version (220) is sold worldwide, you can notice this by checking the prices (cut and uncut). So the cut version doesn't have an own app ID.
Furthermore this is a pack of Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. I just looked though the sub IDs of HL2: Lost Coast, but didn't find a pack with only these two parts. However, I didn't check every entry, so you might try it, too.

It would be way easier to know or at least assume which version it is, if you'd still know the origin of the gift.

Nothing in the additional information (in inventory and while "preparing" to send the gift).

I think it was when I bought The Orange Box. I already had HL2, so got this copy extra.
If I think about it, it will probably a region specific cut version as I am a german customer.

Ja, dem kannst Du Glauben schenken. :D

Das mit der Orange Box ist ein guter Hinweis. Denn die ist eine der wenigen Ausnahmen, bei der man beim Kauf tatsächlich Gifts als Ersatz für Spiele/DLCs, die man selbst bereits besitzt, erhält. Bei anderen Paketen/Bundles bekommt man halt weniger fürs Geld oder zahlt auch weniger.
Das würde in diesem Fall erklären, wieso es so eine komische Zusammenstellung (nur Hauptspiel und das erste Add-on) ist.

Aber dann richtet sich das Gift nach dem Käufer und dessen Herkunft - in Deinem Fall wirklich deutsch und geschnitten. Also wenn Du es weggeben möchtest, dann empfehle ich, ein Giveaway mit Beschränkung auf Deutschland, möglichst mit Hinweis auf Gift und geschnitten in der Beschreibung und über einen längeren Zeitraum (regionale Einschränkung, viele haben es schon) erstellen.

Was ich nicht ganz verstehe, warum das Add-on noch explizit dabei steht - ist immerhin eine frei verfügbare Demoversion.

Ich vermute, Valve hat keine extra Ausnahme für kostenlose Spiele oder DLCs im Paket in dieser Funktion implementiert. Schadet ja auch niemandem, wenn es darin enthalten ist.
